2:30 I’m in Sydney’s inner west, a stones throw from Glebe and Newtown. I’m sitting out on my little balcony in a T-shirt and.....I’m drinking an alcohol-ick beverage.
It’s almost 7:30pm (time for Shaun the Sheep on the telly) and a lovely 23°C. The humidity is at 73%, with winds at 19km/h.
And despite ALL of that, I’d much rather be there on the cut, looking at those beautiful views, breathing that crisp morning air and definitely opening up those faffing bloody swing bridges for you.

A big hello to Heidi from Richard now in New Zealand. I've been here over thirty year, but I'm an Expat from Allesley, Coventry.
I enjoy watching UA-cam with bits of England in it, plus I have an old friend Frank who has a part share in a narrow boat.
I think if I was to ever return to England, it would be with a narrow boat, but without any experience, it would be very daunting!
I have lived semi rural for most of my life, so narrow boating would be for me, pacing through the (mostly) beautiful countryside.
Meeting a lady boat owner would be a good start, but that was not a hint lol.

What a gorgeous mooring at 6:00 minutes or so. Your boat handling is so good, so professional. Yep, gotta focus on the positive about life, what matters to you, what brings you joy. I really enjoyed this video. The Llangollen canal is beautiful especially out of the tourist season. I had to smile when you put the rum into your hot drink. You’re right about the dredging. Sometimes the bottom gets to near the top.

The camerawork is just heartbreakingly beautiful.
I’ve only experienced that magic once when I was having to work in Evesham and had to drive to a meeting through the Cotswolds at dawn in the summer. As usual my satnav set the controls to “goat track”. I found myself driving along a wooded wide valley with a fine mist clinging to the paddocks like a haze of woodsmoke and the early dawn sun lit the valley all along with shadows in the mist and that enchanting golden light. I could have wept it was so lovely.

there is a product called goo gone that I use to remove left over stickum from stickers. it works very well but . I'm sure your signwriter knows what they are about but i just wanted to put it out there. That looks like a great location for a moor up. hope you have a nice time.

Winter cruising is fun if you can choose to do it just for a short trip and go home to a cosy house afterwards. We're going for a winter cruise to Birmingham next week, last trip in that area before we move our home mooring to... wait for it... Cheshire! See you around Nantwich area Heidi.

Hello Heidi, I've just found your channel and have found your vlogs fantastic. I'm so envious of your lifestyle.
We spent 2 months in the UK Oct-Nov 2019 and toured around UK, Scotland (including Skye), wales etc. One place we stayed was near Bath. Our son who lives in Hereford meet us there and took us to Bradford on Avon. I worked the lock there for a long boat ( just because I could say I've done it. It tuckerd me out so we had to adjourn to the Lock Inn afterwards, LOL ;-)

I bought an old copper masthead light and fixed it up and converted it to leckie recently (the oil lamp was missing anyway) Lovely-Jubbly. I wish I'd had chance to tell you about Sticky Stuff Remover...no, not THAT sticky stuff....what are you like!? It removes residual tacky glue and is excellent. I'm sure it would have cleaned your panel up without it having to be repainted. You can get it from Lakeland or Amazon.
The vinyl ripped all the dark grey paint off with it Ronnie … the panel was in a right state so much better to start with a fresh 😄🏴☠️

Christmas in Hospital ,we had a neetinga t lunchtime with Dr, Physiotherapist and her nurse and it was decided it was for the best as her mobility is still very limited.We plan on doing a Skype Christmas dinner from my daughter's place. Of course I'm disappointed but tit's for the best I'm sure.

I was laid on my settee in my centrally heated home, all cosy and warm and sipping on a glass of Old Fettercairn watching you out there in the cold, windy weather.
Strangely, I felt as though I would prefer to be there with you, opening the lift/swing bridges.
What an Adventure.
Then I took another sip of whiskey (just enough to wet the lips) and reality returned.
I really enjoyed seeing the visual effects you included this week with the drone and that magic stick camera. It looked like someone was following you around doing the photography. Brilliant.
You do go out of your way to produce fantastic vlog content.
