I love that Mia and Nicolas kiss is number one because it was unsuspected but also funny and romantic at the same time 🥰❤️❤️ and I agree the others were totally unsuspected too especially Owen and Claire kiss.
How was that unexpected? I may have seen a lot more movies than you, but the only surprises in that movie were how much they altered Lilly's character to fit the plot and how long it took Mia to "throw off the chains on the patriarchy," as the original Lilly would have said. Still, Disney. Fun movie.
@@anneklapste770 Because in the scene there having an argument and as a first time watcher I wasn’t expecting him to kiss her that early in the movie therefore that’s why I think it’s unexpected plus it had to be in the list for a reason.
Although it might seem odd that Cher ended up with her ex stepbrother, their parents were only married briefly, and they clearly don't consider each other to be family.
Yet her father considers Josh his son or at least stepson, saying something like you divorce spouses, not kids. It's bizarre that no character objects or mentions that Cher & Josh used to be stepsiblings.
Some of these would be frowned upon now. Turning up at a girl's door with a set of placards would be deemed stalkerish now, even if she weren't in a relationship with a friend of yours.
A common, ridiculous romcom trope is that a major character suddenly realises they've been in love with someone for years! You can't be in love with someone & not know!
Actually, I am not sure if that is true. I had a male best friend (I am female) for years and only thought of him as a brother until one day we were talking about the type of person we wanted to marry and I quickly said I wanted to marry someone just like him. When I went home I realized that I meant what I said and knew that I loved him. I always cared a lot about him, but didn’t realize. We have been married for almost 25 years and have three sons. I guess he loved me too.
@@RobertTaylor-gz2fu I became friends with him while I was already interested in and about to start dating another guy. We enjoyed being with one another and he was very easy to talk to. The relationship with the other guy lasted six months, but my husband was already a friend in my mind. I use to see women who I knew was his type and wish he was there to meet them. I was genuinely concerned with his well being and wanted the best for him, so he felt like a brother to me. Until the day he no longer felt like a sibling 😏. I was in my early twenties when this took place and didn’t realize what goes into a good relationship, so genuine care and affection only existed in a family in my mind. I am just grateful no one snatched him up because he is and was attractive and in good shape. Many women overlook great guys when they are young and miss out and it is a shame. I married the best guy I knew, the one who I wouldn’t mind duplicating in this world by having his children. And I am happy that I did.
Yes, you can. You can’t be so arrogant and foolish as to think you can make declarations in the negative about other people’s experiences. Or maybe you can be. It has happened to me, and it has happened to countless people. Friends-to-lovers is a trope for a reason.
*MY FAVORITES:* Nicholas and Mia - The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement Will and Ronnie - The Last Song Aladdin and Jasmine - Aladdin Peter and Gwen - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Cameron and Bianca - 10 Things I Hate About You Blu and Jewel - Rio Graham and Amanda - The Holiday Claire and Owen - Jurassic World Han and Leia - Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back Mark and Juliet - Love Actually Cher and Josh - Clueless Ron and Hermione - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Rhett and Scarlett - Gone with the Wind Rey and Kylo Ren - Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker Charlie and Maverick - Top Gun Patrick and Kat - 10 Things I Hate About You William and Anna - Notting Hill Gray and Fritz - Catch and Release Amy and Laurie - Little Women Tony and Pepper - Iron Man 2 Hannah and Jacob - Crazy, Stupid, Love.
Me neither, I didn't think that anyone would hook up, but then again, they're teenagers. They listed Bender and Claire as an unexpected pairing in a previous video.
So I’m the book Ron and Hermione kiss after one of the big fights. Honestly forgot which cuz there’s a lot in that last book but basically she says Ron was brilliant and kissed him right there in front of everyone. Which is also how Ginny and Harry kiss in the book. And Ron sees!! And is like “better you than anyone else!” I swear it didn’t happen this way exactly but it’s also been like 5 years sense I read those books last 🤣 but that’s basically what happened. How is that better?! The kiss in the movie was theatrical sure but way more fun than kissing in front of everyone 🤣🤣 as for Ginny and Harry? Well the Hollywood did us and them very dirty. Ginny and Harry were way hotter together in the books 🤣

Man I love Mia and Nicholas’s relationship 😂 It’s so crazy and up and down and their kiss scene is just amazing
That Aladdin kiss really took me by surprise. Animated characters are such great actors, you can never tell what they’ll do next
Penelope should have been number 1 on the list; it was EPIC.
Mia and Nicholas in The Princess Diaries 2 ❤❤❤❤❤
Howard and Peter in In & Out should have been number one. People in the theatre lost their minds by sheer shock in such a good way. It was fantastic!
Movies gave me unrealistic expectations for romance, namely that you'd end up with your high school sweetheart.
I always will scream *”HE LEARNED FRENCH FOR HER”*
Giving a surprise kiss now would likely result in being arrested, fired etc.
Yeah, some of these seemed mutual.
Most were straight up, obvious assault.
hey they said unexpected not consensual

@@RobertTaylor-gz2fuGood so the dad already accepts him as family. Perfect fit.
@@someoneyoudontknow7705 But stepson & daughter's BF are substantially different.
Aladdin and Jasmine (even as a kid) happy friday morning, Emily, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
Elio and Oliver.. Call me by your name..should be on this list

AMY AND LAURIE!!!!!!!!!
What about Alan Rickman and Norman Reedus in Dark Harbour? That was a complete twist I never saw coming!

Hermione and Ron are my favourites.
Mia and Nicholas
Alicia Silverstone the first to kiss Paul Rudd in visual media? Paula Marshall has something to say about that.
Joe and Jess from Bend it like Beckham
Yes, I think that they're cute, though I used to think that Jess and Jules would be a decent pairing.
Honorable mentions in a Top 30? That's new.
Roger Rabbit, tho?? That’s what we doin here? Lol
Shizuka & Nobita - "Stand By Me Doreamon"
@MsMojo You forgot Ashton Kutcher and Sean William Scott in "Dude Where's My Car?" 👬
What about the two kisses in Breakfast Club? Molly and Judd and then Emilio and Ally?? Wasn’t expecting those the first time I saw that flick.

@@trinaq yes!! You’re right!
Can you list the movies? Please
Scarjo was 17 and Murray was 52. Yikes
But their characters are only friends, so what does it matter? Also, her character is older than the actress was at the time.
That love actually kiss is a scandal.

God, Kylo ren was such a toxic person that I hated that kiss
GONE WITH THE WIND….”love or hate them as a couple” - I hate the whole movie! Seriously, I loathe it!
