The prolonged song input from the man on the right after Sawani's soft and subtle rendering of this difficult raga (especially the Ghalib ghazal) was such an intrusion. He is a very nice man himself, and seems like a great devotee of classical music, but will someone tell him that he does not have to provide this kind of anticlimax input every time? Sawani deserves better treatment than this after her fine performances. She has also proved to be the most knowledgeable vocalist to come and grace these programs. We learn such a lot both from her explanations of raga theories as well as her fine rendering of bandishes which she brings forth for learners as examples. And once again one has to draw attention also to the fine and sensitive harmonium accompaniment provided here. This program should put forth the names of all the participants, including the names of harmonium player, the tablist as well as the lady on the right who confines herself to asking short and useful questions. Well done all.
