Remember many years ago seeing a Profi film about the Krone dealer in California setting up a big back baler on a JCB fastrac and travelling around the states with her doing demonstrations. Good see the set up out in California. 👍
Hooo! almost makes a mockery of us making hay in the Highlands of Scotland. Oh and then the mixing of blood: Krone ( good enough machines) with the Deutz tractor, OK - but the FAHR stuff was way ahead for grassland machinery IMO and experience. But look what the shareholders did, or ? Like the synch'd sound with the bounce of the tractor - thought those days were passed with the long slow strokes of old traditional HD balers. ( once you reach over around 90 strokes per minute, they become much smoother, even possible to power with much smaller / lighter tractors. THaks for the video + informative commentary Merry Christmas when it comes!
Great video Mike. I've lived in Ohio for 35 years but I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Yes, very familiar with irrigating crops. Everything was irrigated because of lack of rain. Around me they grew corn/maze/hay/cotton. Always enjoy your videos Mike.
Lived and worked for Deere dealership in Yuma for 3 years I am from Missouri back in Mo now but that's a different world when it comes to farming worked on everything imaginable
California is one of the most beautiful and productive places on Earth. It's just too bad about all the flakes and wackos that infest the place, these fine folks excepted of course. I worry about the water situation, though. Do they get their water from the aquifer or from a pipeline?
That is impressive video Mike! Congratulations on getting a nice sun tan lol. I used to drive from Seattle to San Diego with a long semi. And I know how hot and dry that central valley gets! Whew! Triple digits. Especially in the Fresno area. I hope you flew into Fresno airport and not LAX. That airport is a mess. Keep those hot videos coming haha
Great video Mike and I thank you for it as always. The Tulare lakebed area just east of the town of Corcoran which has been turned into very productive farmland is a most impressive area to visit and film.
There are several large dairys here in the valley as well by large i mean round 5 to 7000 head of cows that r milked 2 times a day at each of the dairys
Good day from Ontario Canada Interesting video. So he cuts 3-4 rds & leaves a strip, it that were water runs down? How long are those bales? Thanks nice video
How far from ElCentro CA was this !! I worked for a Deere dealership in Yuma Az for 3 years and that's a different world for farming than where I lived and now moved back home to Missouri !! Lol
here in germany thats about all you see. the big baling is done mainly by contractors and they swear by krone equipment, very rarely do you see a claas or a cnh baler
@@carlfalt174 I know but I had a few folks tell me this that live there and seen several billboards about it so who knows. Certainly the news would tell us correctly.
The politicians waste the water every year for the delta smelt. Which it’s actually been proven they have let out so much water out it had a very negative impact on the fish.
@@farmhandmike Ah…I was wondering with starting to see so many Deutz Tractor Videos. @@taylor11089 Thanks and yes I'll see what I can do. I was actually thinking about reposting some of those older videos but add a VoiceOver to explain what is going on. In the beginning I didn't do a VoiceOver and my editing wasn't so great. Just an idea but having the time is my issue.
No steamers on any balers at that operation? No wonder that end row hay is of lower quality. The number of times they run over it there wouldn't a leaf left on it.

Stunned the arm on the bale wagon can support that weight! Great video!
I always enjoy videos from Mike Less. Awesome again. Thanks for sharing again 👍. Happy subscriber 😊!

Making hay while the sun shines😉👍 great to see a deutz on the krone baler😁👍 nice video👍👍
Can never get over the vastness and flatness of farms out west. Sometime can give the amount of seeds they use on some of these fields?
I really like watching vídeos like this Mike. Success always.
I really appreciate the variety of content on your channel. Keep it coming Mike!
LOL I see you finally made it to California your in another world out there for sure farming on a scale like no other just saying.

Great content as usual, loved the shots from above. Farming on such a big scale is certainly impressive. Regards from Down Under.
Bales Hay and ranch in Arizona uses a steamer to add moisture to his hay. Kinda cool setup. I hope

Flood irrigation uses so much water. In the current drought flood irrigation is not a good system

Awesome video
Howdy Farmhand Mike
Did not expect California to have that much agricultural
Out of curiosity, what could be the price of land, rent in california? Huge field, year round cropping. Very different then what we see in Canada
😎😎
Wes Pandy of Oneloneyfarmer UA-cam channel swears by his Krone big square baler and actually has 2 of them
here in germany thats about all you see. the big baling is done mainly by contractors and they swear by krone equipment, very rarely do you see a claas or a cnh baler
The krone baler is making a lot of noise with plunger
Why was they skipping the 4-5 row in cutting the alfalfa?
That is where the levy’s are for the flood irrigation. He went back and cut them all at the end.
I love a video but there running out of water. Might be back to a desert if they don't get a few serious wet years in the west.
They tell me around 70% of their mountain water is let out to flow in the ocean.
