Thank you for this! There aren't many videos about this product for some reason, especially concerning grey hair. Even their 4 year old UA-cam channel only has like 5 videos that are basically useless. I've been using some purple shades from Arctic Fox since I started letting my greys come in. I just put it on my brown hair and leave it on for a few hours. Yes, I said hours. lol I like the way it's more vibrant in the greyer areas and found some hacks to keeping the color vibrant for quite a while. Such as (as found on the AF website): Only wash it once a week,, always wash with cold water, add the dye to your conditioiner, use dry shampoo in between washes, use only vegan products (sulfates & parabens strip the color), and avoid heat if possible, or use a heat protectant. Now that I've let it fade, I am definitely not liking seeing the greys staring back at me. I was starting to feel like I was running out of options for diminishing the greys a bit without resorting to using a permanent dye again or constantly using root touch up powders. I knew Overtone had brunette shades, but from all of the reviews it seems to not last very long. Then I stumbled across KeraColor earlier today on Amazon and wondered if this product in Mocha or Espresso might help make the greying transition easier on my psyche, which is more like 27 than 47, if I'm being honest. 😆
This is the exact video I was looking for before trying this product. Thank you! I want to keep my natural grey too but want to play with color occasionally.
Thank you for this video it has given me the courage to try I’ve wanted to go purple for years on my grey hair and not get put in a twilight home for bewildered by my daughter for doing it.
Love that you said this conditions and makes your hair soft!! That was a huge concern of mine! I think I'm gonna try this!! My hair still has some brown in it but interested to see how the purple will highlight with the grey.
I got this for like $11 on eBay and it is the bomb! I have gray hair on most of my front and it looks amazing! I got every shade, but hot pink and purples get the most compliments. I get the you spent $300+ on your hair comment as well as: who does your hair can I get their number? I say go online and get this cheapo conditioner and they are appalled. Ulta always overprices everything. I bought the 3.4 oz for $9 plus shipping. This review is honest.
I just ordered some of the rose gold, I have highlights so it should add some nice color, definitely excited to try this! Now I’m thinking I should try the purple and pink too 😁
just HAD to comment because i can not believe you’re 40!! when you said you went gray early, i was thinking wow 20s is pretty young to go gray. you look great!
You look gorgeous, I would not have guessed you're in you're forties :0 Thanks for the vid, I recently dyed my hair purple and this was super helpful. The conditioner smells really good too 💜
Thanks Melanie, I am always interested in any grey hair self help videos, so this was great. I bought a manic panic tub after you mentioned you used it to get a more steely hue to your greys, but the tub has been sitting in my cabinet because I’m not entirely sure how to use it. Can you please elaborate (maybe in a video) how you used the manic panic in a bit more detail?
Zen One I honestly didn’t do anything special with it. I just slapped it on either dry or wet hair with gloves and left it on for 10-15 minutes. Didn’t mix it with anything. Didn’t “paint it on”. Nothing. It’s super temporary so you can’t really mess it up. Just try to avoid your skin. That’s my only advice.
This is a color depositing shampoo that you use to wash your hair and refresh your already colored hair. It's not supposed to be used as a hair dye but I guess it works
Well how can you argue with how this lady gets what she likes on her gray hair, without resorting to permanent dye? Lots of us 'old' people with gray hair aren't so over the hill that we don't like to spice things up. But tired of ruining our tresses with bleach. Screw 'supposed to/not supposed to'.
They have one to make your hair platinum. Takes the yellow out. I just tried for the first time. Worked really well but just last night I noticed slight hue of violet in my hair. Not noticeable but in certain light you can slightly see it.
Thank you for this video. I tried Rose Gold on a few strands of my natural salt/pepper and loved it. Considering doing all over but..question: did this completely fade from your hair, no staining? Thx
You could but do not leave it in for any amount of time. Just wash and rinse. Personally I used either Pravana or Pureology purple shampoo's and conditioners to tone my hair.
@MrKongsMom Thank you for your quick response,I bought this very product a few weeks ago& was afraid to use it,,I'll try like you said then. Let's see how this turns out,, lol.. thanks again!btw.. love your chanel!
The Joico won't really turn your hair the shade of purple you can get from the Clenditioner. You may get a lavender hue at most. I have done that in the past but it wasn't purple enough for me.
The purple is very nice on you. I can't wait to see the pink color. I color my hair light brown because I have a lot of white. I think I want to try the copper color and see how it plays with my white hair. Side note: I know you like Buxom Dolly, but have you seen Dolly Daiquiri? It a little lighter than Dolly, but quite nice. I have both.
Yes, I actually have Daiquiri coming my way from Ulta ;) I am so excited to try it out! I also purchased one of the new Buxom blushes! Can't wait to try it!
Silver balanced my white grey hair and now will try the purple for a lilac version at 63 it's fun and love how it helps hair not destroy not!

Go for it! It's fun to change it up!
I started with gray hair at 17. At 46 I finally decided to transition to full gray but looking forward to adding some hues like yours!
Congratulations on your journey!
Thanks for this video it was exactly what I was looking for :)
Thanks for posting this - I too have hair like yours but can never find videos for natural salt and pepper - you sold me on this product
Hope you like it!
I used the Platinum over the summer on my hair & loved it! My mother in law uses the gray color for her white hair & is hooked too. Glad you like it!

Love this...i have grey hair and would love to see if the platinum would give me a whiter look

Ok so jbgave a question. How well has it come out of your hair I did mine in the purple like you in the middle of December and it’s still not out
You are 40? I’m still stuck on that sentence. You look incredible! Your hair looks great too.
LOL, thanks! I'll take it!
Thank you for this video. I tried Rose Gold on a few strands of my natural salt/pepper and loved it. Considering doing all over but..question: did this completely fade from your hair, no staining? Thx
It fades slowly, no staining. The purple takes about 5-6 regular washes to completely come out of my hair.
@@MrKongsMom Thanks so much
Can I use this to tone down the yellow in my hair??
You could but do not leave it in for any amount of time. Just wash and rinse. Personally I used either Pravana or Pureology purple shampoo's and conditioners to tone my hair.

Rose gold would be so pretty on you!
I'm ordering the silver and the platinum right now
Can you use Joico purple shampoo for gray hair with this?
