All they had to do was back a sitting president and get power in 2019, but no, they wanted to play God and handed the country to these present sycophants in APC. If they want to be taken serious then Atiku and co from the north have to be punished for 2015, then Wike and co will be punished for 2023. Nigerian youths, how long are you going to keep silent? How long are you going to remain in your shells while the thieves that rule Nigeria choke you to death? Until we begin to worry about how people get into office in our country, or the process they took to become the president, a senator, or a representative in Nigeria, we will never reach the great future that Nigerians have been promised.
How can we forget so soon? Why do we Nigerians forget so soon? How do you forget the damage a certificate forger, a career criminal, and a drug baron has done or is doing to our country just because he has achieved this and that? After all, anyone can achieve whatever Tinubu and APC have achieved so far if given the opportunity. But how did Tinubu and APC get the opportunity? By rigging and forcing their way into office! Why are we accepting this anomaly? This impunity?
Is this how we want to get into office in Nigeria? Is illegitimacy the new normal in Nigeria? Is criminality the new normal in Nigeria? Is this what we are about? Why can’t we Nigerians call a spade and spade and treat it as such? What is going on in our country? Have we no shame? Have we lost all our morals? How can a person so corrupted and so tainted unashamedly force himself into office in our country and we are singing praises of him because he has achieved what anyone with proper mandate can achieve with ease.
What is wrong with us? Do we want to remain the laughing stock of the world? Despite the achievements of Nigerians at home and abroad, the absurdities of ignoble leaders who force themselves into office in our country is disheartening. The rumors of the death of Buhari in 2017 have not been solved, and we are doing nothing about it. Now, Tinubu is doing more damage to us and we are silent! The world is watching and history is recording!
Mr. Sowunmi is absolutely right while an opposition keep the ruling party on its toes monitoring what they are doing the opposition party also have to be able to tell the ruling party how certain this things should be done. Unfortunately, in Nigeria it appears the opposition is there to criticize making all the noise about what the ruling party is not doing even when it comes to matter that is of interest to the general public. An example is the insecurity situation in the country which affects everyone. Apart for the Governors who have no choice than to worry about the citizen we are yet to see any suggested solutions from the leaders of the party. They are fast at holding press conference pointing fingers at the ruling party without any obvious contribution towards any solution. The problem with the party today points to the fact that they allowed Atiku force himself on the party as a candidate at a time when Nigerians were looking for rotation of the presidency to the south. There is no doubt that the party would have been back as the ruling party if they the members were united in rejecting Atiku's candidacy in the 2023 election .Everyone is worried about Wike working for the ruling party despite the fact they he remains a member of the PDP. This man is not attending party meetings with the APC, he is a Federal Minister and by right as a citizen he does not have to belong to a political party to be a Minister of the Federal republic of Nigeria. As a courtesy to the PDP he consulted with relevant leaders of the party before accepting the offer from the President and beside the State where he comes from did not see anything wrong then when the position was offered to him.PDP as a party must accept they they created the situation they are going through now because of the mess they created in the 2023 Presidential primary. They had a candidate that did not care to reach out to the G 5 out of pride and took them for granted. The impact is what is still lingering within the party today.
