Thanks Jake. I really appreciate that. I don't have many more reviews to do. Not sure what direction the channel will go from here on out, but it's been a learning experience for sure. Thanks again for the encouragement!
I like how you did the two racks. Unique idea with the platform intersection in the middle. Glad you made the cables work and if it works for you, why not. I got a spud inc pulley I’m not in love with. It’s a hassle to find the right high points and I’m short. Just planning on getting the cable tower in the future. Looks good!
Thanks! Yeah, I'm totally not a fan of spud inc. I think that's way too much money for what you get. I can't remember, but somebody had a cheaper version of the spud system for like $45. I thought it was elite FTS, but I can't find it, now. Either them or rep fitness? Cable towers are by far the best way to go if you have the space and $$$. Best of luck and thanks for posting!
Sweet Gym , Jim ..... I also have a small space and thinking of moving from a full rack to a rogue squat rack with spotters to free up room. The only issue is losing the rogue spotting straps , as I like how they protect the room. A set of ironmasters would of freed up some space wink wink . Keep the vids coming , cheers
Yeah, the dumbbells are something that's a little out of character, because the rest of the setup is geared towards cost efficiency. But it's just so convenient to walk over to the rack and pick up a set, without having to adjust anything. These days, I don't do that many 1rm efforts. So, I think a squat rack would probably work just fine. Though a cage really is a nice thing to have. Let me know if you make any big changes!
Well, like they say, it's not the size of the ship. It's whether you drop your dumbbells on your toes. I think that's how it goes. Haha! Cheers! Hope you're surviving COVID.
I got these off of amazon. I had some lowell tota lights, but they drew too much current and would always blow a breaker. These are a lot better. super cheap. very portable. fast setup. www.amazon.com/ESDDI-Photography-Continuous-Equipment-Portraits/dp/B015DYIQ94
Your place is awesome dude the cap olympic plates you got her perfect it's the cap Olympic Bar that has the problem with rusting the bars you got the Rogue Ohio power bar is perfect you're doing good
Jim may I give you some training advice A) Get ride of Dumbells, Cables. Only barbell and body weight exercises B) Only do compound lifts C) Work out everyday. That will give you the best gains
Hey Big Boss. My strength goals are: 5 x 5 reps of bench at 225 5 x 5 reps of Squats at 315 5 reps of Deadlift at 405. Who knows if I'll get there. Other than that, just to be functionally strong. Keep rehabbing my knee and shoulder. To be more aesthetic.
@@JimintheGym hey, well you've got the kit for def! I've just bought a weight rig myself and need to set my goals, no.1 aesthetics , no.2 try and get back to near my best lifts:)
Place looks good!
Thanks Brandon! Not as tidy as your place, but it works!
Even though it’s tiny, it’s been an awesome time watching the journey. Hope to see any updates in videos in the future!

Nice gym! Mine is “tinier” than yours, just 8’X12’.

@@JimintheGym Thanx, you too! Don’t have or use dumbells as I mainly only do 4 exercises: squats, pull-ups, dips, and deadlifts. I may add presses.
That’s a really cool setup!
Thanks Javy!
Nice set up, Jim.
Thanks Karen!
I would love to have a gym like that.
Yeah, got lucky. For most of my life, I was lucky to have a janky bench and squat rack and some Dicks' olympic weights! HHaha!
Came for the gym tour, stayed for the horrible dad jokes. :)
Then you're in the right place, because they are horrible indeed! ;)
Very Nice GYM Bro
Thanks man! A little cramped, but it has a lot of stuff in it.
Finally a home gym in an average-size room
I love that lighting! Who makes it?

Thanks man! soon as I recover from this elbow surgery, time to get back at it.
It's not the size that matters... it's how you use it... sorry... couldn't resist.
