    This dude is a genius. He gets knocked sometimes as a musician because he uses so much technology to be a one man band, but Howard is a master class musician composer, synthesist, producer and keyboard player. Just listen to how complex his melodies are, the intricate and science in his programming, and how he composes these parts. Brilliant, funky and groovy. He created some of the most memorable and danceable music in the 80's.

    To perform live with one non programmable analoge synth is difficult enough but two, three, four ...with manual patch changes on all, that is the stuff of highly skilled genii!

      Really? On our website there is a big button called videos. This takes you to our UA-cam channel. Okay, admittedly, it could say UA-cam… But we don’t tend to like to promote brands. :-)

      @@soundonsound It's really because I haven't been looking for new gear for a long time so I haven't been reading the magazine. Yes, there really is such a thing as enough!
      I was an avid reader many years ago but only very occasionally pick up a copy these days if I see something interesting to me on the cover. I'm only after very select things now. I still haven't found the sampled piano I have been searching for.

    Howard is great. The interview is great. The constant changing of camera angles when Howard is speaking is very off putting though...

    The more corpulent of the two, Robbie Bronnimann, would be Howard's producer. I got to learn about him from watching demo clips of TC Electronic gear. Very knowledgible fellow, if you ask me. Has worked with other names of some fame too, but the identities of whom seem to have slipped my mind now.

    Weird he is sort of hard to understand like how Ozzy is but when he sings its just perfectly clear. WTF.

    5:40 "Because there's no memory in the thing"... Who would believe there was a time when electronics didn't have 256 GIGAbytes of memory. They had NO memory! wow

    How come he never went bald? He didn't have much hair in 1985!!

    • @John-hh5ol
      @John-hh5ol 7 років тому +1

      He had a VAST amount of hair in 1985... Male pattern baldness is genetic. His dad, John, was not bald... So nor is he.
