I bought this in the Paris Mancera/Montale boutique last September. After spending a good 90 minutes testing other fragrances, I found this to be the most impressive. I tested it on my hand and at the first as you say, it's quite medicinal. I wasn't sure whether I'd made the right choice in picking it up or not. I wore it that night when I visited Sacre-Coeur and listening to Jeff Buckley's 'Grace' album. It was absolutely magical. I mainly pick up an ambery oud, sort of golden smelling. The rose for me adds an elegant touch rather than being overly dominant. I agree with you on the Roja comparison - I was instantly reminded of Roja's Amber Aoud and MFK's Grand Soir. It's definitely amongst those wonderful fragrances in terms of quality and scent profile. However, I prefer it to both. I picked up the 60ml and having owned it nearly a year now, the level is around the level of your bottle. It will last a very long time. I wore it on a weekend away in Edinburgh at the start of February, the weather was quite cold and it suited the dark almost medieval aesthetic of the old town. Paired with a black over coat, black shirt and black jeans, this stuff is wonderful. I received numerous compliments on the night I wore it out, even the day after as it was still very present in my hair. I've tested all Mancera's and I also believe this to be the best one from the house.

I ordered this today after doing a full days wear of a decant sample I had,,,, OMG,,, 2sprays of my sample and without a word of a lie it’s still projecting off my skin 13 hrs later,,,this is next level, I have a few montales and Manceras , this has to be one of there best. Love this frag. 10/10,
The opening wasn't that pleasant to me at first, but after wearing the fragrance all night, the dry down was very pleasant and smelled great still on skin at the 9 hour mark for myself.

Sorry this might be a bit long winded but after watching this video on the Mancera Aoud Exclusif and many others. I recently purchased this fragrance and wow spot on about this fragrance and it is amazing. So with that said, I’ve purchased a few of the Orto’s on your reviews. No worries, I’m a big fan of Nassomatto and understand the nose. Cant wait to enjoy them. The only one I’m still struggling with is Blamage. Thanks again and be well.
Great video bud. I agree that it lasts monstrously long and pumps and pumps. Great fragrance. It changes for me from wear to wear. Sometimes I find it feminine while other times I don't.

I really love your reviews. You're meticulously about what youre smelling and relating that back to us, the listener. I really like this scent. It was purchased as a blind buy. I really love Mancera fragrances. This company has a fragrance for every season. I used one spray of Aoud Exclusive, and used one spray of Montale Black Aoud. Both smell terrific. Aoud Exclusive, the spices are more pronounced. The Black Aoud has the rose more pronounced. I can't wait it cools off here in Ga. Here I am thinking I need more Oud fragrances. Just maybe I'll wear what I have and smell great for myself.

This just got in the mail and you were absolutely right: it's potent and smells very expensive - narcotic, in a way! :) Excellent review Matt and thanks for the recommendation! BTW, does your bottle have a magnetic cap? I have a couple of other Manceras and even their Prestigium collection has the screw-on cap, but this one is different. The sprayer is different as well, almost Dior-ish. Cheers mate!
Great video mate! One of first Mancera's I purchased and I have about 25 or so. Better opening than Red Tobacco. I love it and it's a keeper. I sold my Red Tobacco and Black Prestigium as I couldn't just get around to them. Sand Aoud is another classic and unique one from Mancera. Can you review Royal Vanilla and Silver Blue from Mancera( both were exclusive to Selfridges over there in the UK. You are my favorite UK reviewer, very detailed in your analysis with a calming voice. Keep it up bud!!

@@bennisahmedamine9567 , it is very strong with middle eastern touch. Very different from the two you mentioned..Oud and Rose combo..so you have to love those two notes to enjoy Aoud Exclusif. If not stay away! It's a potent juice
This one reminds me a bit of black afgano actually!! This is really lovely, probably adding it to my eventual "buy" list, but making due with a decant for now ☺️

Great review as always. Did you smell mancera aoud line and what's your take on it? It seems that no one review it on UA-cam yet. I like the dark and skanky oud and I looking for something similar to louis Vuitton ombre nomade from the house of mancera. Aoud line might be the one based on the notes as it raspberry.
I think that exclusif is stronger than btb, more sweety, but ex not so changing scent he stays the same until dry down. Both of these scents unusual) love them, love mancera.

It's a gorgeous scent and not just another rose oud , performance is the usual Mancera beast. I love the magnetic caps and sprays on it too , another nice touch 👌 Great to get your take on this.

Hello, new subscriber here, i love your videos, you deserve much more subs. Can i ask, which one would you recommend black to black or aoud exclusif or any other aoudy frag from Mancera? I am in love with this house. I want one aoudy frag from mancera and i have no way to test both. Can you describe the differences? Which one is more oud dominant and animalic, i like when rose/saffron and aoud play "toe to toe"and when they are well blended with and amber and incense/myrrh, i am kinda patch head so patchouli is always fine in fragrances or herbal notes like in hindu kush . Which one is less animalic and harsh? Which one is more premium? And maybe the most important, which one feels more natural, it´s the only issue i have sometimes with manceras. Please help :D I have tested black gold (big no), wild fruits (happy scent, bit feminine), cedrat boise ( bad performance with new batches, i like it but not on me, on my skin, it gets sour) and aoud lemon mint (like, but generic,), gold intensive aoud (i liked it, but the grapefruit killed it for me, citruses with oud smells to me often like ammoniac, fruits are good, but no citruses for me - bergamot is only one i can handle) and i own gold prestigium and hindu kush, which i like the most. The only mancera i hate, because it smells like a plaster to me, and IMO is blended very badly is Black gold.
Well, so i blindboughted it, the smell itself is nice, but the performance is not. I mean like what the hell. I thought, this should be the performance superstar. I own full bottles of red tobacco, gold prestigium and hindu kush, and this one is the weakest by far, projection is basically non existent to my nose after 30 minutes. I noticed it immediately after spraying. The drydown did not change my mind. It's weak, with no depth. There is one guy on fragrantica, who was not satisfied with the performance just like me and he says, that he has bottle with magnetic cap, just like me with the mancera logo, but when i watched some reviews on youtube people do have screw on cap with the M on top, the classic one, and they are all ok with the performance. Only you have the magnetic cap from all of the reviewers, but you say it's beastly, can i ask, what is your batch, because i think this sh.t got watered down already... sad :(
@@rightlyguided2201 howdy Sir I know you didn't ask me, but... I'd like to tell you about Mancera Wild Leather. Bought it because it was supposed to be super strong, animalic, all the good stuff. Well in the beginning, I honestly could BARELY smell it. I was convinced I had a dud, either a fake or that it got damaged by heat, something. Well I gave it time. That's one thing I learned about this fragrance game: some change tremendously from the beginning to even 1-2 years down the line. Long s short, now I really like it and it lasts easy 10-14 hours. I strongly suspect you'll find something similar with Aoud Exclusif. Good luck 🍀 anyways, Mark
That's a bloody good question. In all honesty I dont know. Black To Black as you well know is awesome , but I guess it's another Rose Oud combo at its heart and I have loads. This one is still a bit of a Rose Oud but is probably more interesting. Tough one to answer. Black To Black is louder but not by much and this probably projects more in the drydown that BTB. Arrrgghhh I dont know. Maybe I'd go with Aoud Exclusif as it's more wearable in more situations. Ask me again tomorrow and I'll give you a different answer !🤣
I bought montale black aoud and it was the saddest day of my life it literally is an old lady bomb ita disgusting and doesnt change they reformulated the hell out of it or something i based my purchase based upon all the reviewers.. i own honey aoud by montale and think its the best i own then Carlisle followed by red tobacco... i heard sand aoud is supposed too be pretty good as well as black vanilla but the best ones are always sold out seems like..

Howdy Sir would you mind if I ask you some questions re Aoud Exclusif? They would be: Is it sharp? Or soft Is it sweet? Is it smooth. Amber heavy? I like sharp, spicy masculine fragrances and not at all any of the above. Thanks so much, Mark
Its very smooth and not particularly sweet. The perfume is so well blended there is nothing spikey or sharp. The fragrance is indeed quite ambery in the drydown
There is Rose in this but its not the main player and I wouldnt call it ' Jammy '. Mancera Black Line maybe more the one you are looking for as that is a lot sweeter than this one buddy. Hope that helps

You might be able to but personally I would not recommend it in too much heat. I have worn it on hotter days but there are better perfumes for warmer or even hot days

Not similar at all really. I love Aswad but this is a different class. They dont smell alike. Aswad is a kind of classic Oud Rose where this has much more going on. Both excellent but the Mancera is at a different level.

I don't know whether it has been discontinued, but I would recommend Maison Al Hambra 'Exclusive Oud'. The 'Exclusive Rose' is also exceptional.

I think they messed up mine as well. My precious oud is dark and has all the whisky in it. They mixed it up with the oud exclusive 😮

Has Mancera oud exclusive been reformulated since it came out 5?or 6yrs ago? Does anybody know?
I bought montale black aoud and it was the saddest day of my life it literally is an old lady bomb ita disgusting and doesnt change they reformulated the hell out of it or something i based my purchase based upon all the reviewers.. i own honey aoud by montale and think its the best i own then Carlisle followed by red tobacco... i heard sand aoud is supposed too be pretty good as well as black vanilla but the best ones are always sold out seems like..
Montale Black Aoud is indeed a shadow of its former self!

I like sharp, spicy masculine fragrances and not at all any of the above.

Its very smooth and not particularly sweet. The perfume is so well blended there is nothing spikey or sharp. The fragrance is indeed quite ambery in the drydown

There is Rose in this but its not the main player and I wouldnt call it ' Jammy '. Mancera Black Line maybe more the one you are looking for as that is a lot sweeter than this one buddy. Hope that helps

You might be able to but personally I would not recommend it in too much heat. I have worn it on hotter days but there are better perfumes for warmer or even hot days

how does it compare to Shaghaf Oud Aswad?
Not similar at all really. I love Aswad but this is a different class. They dont smell alike. Aswad is a kind of classic Oud Rose where this has much more going on. Both excellent but the Mancera is at a different level.

@@tracypowell1236 do it. both are easily in my top ten i evr bought (50+). just got aoud excusif. and he is right. it is soooo good.oud stays all the way and as it is perfectly described, medicinal, clean. and "the aoud"...that rose dialed up and the oud in the back, if at all. both put a smile on my face. both high, high quality. so glad

Hi there. No its nothing like Black Afgano, totally different smell. Thisnis more of a sophisticated slightly Rosey Oud.
