thanks for the reaction, Marco Mengoni like the Maneskin was launched by XFactor Italia years ago. he has a beautiful voice, I suggest you watch his performance in Sanremo in the evening of singing duets, he sang a beautiful version of let It be accompanied by an American gospel group
I hope that you know that Sanremo ISN'T a national selection for ESC but it's the Italian Music Festival, and here (in Italy) is more important than ESC, in fact, here no one talks about Eurovision and when we decide the winner of Sanremo we don't think about ESC, and I think Sanremo is better. Singers who win Sanremo can choose whether to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest or not to go. In this last case, the runner-up will go (for example in 2016 Stadio won but Francesca Michielin, that was the runner-up, went to ESC), but also the second may not go so we go to the third place and so on... Furthermore, the singer can also choose to sing another song, other than the one that won Sanremo. And then you will wonder why Italy uses Sanremo as a "selection" for the ESC. The answer is that, when Italy returned to the competition, RAI (Italian television) decided to use Sanremo so they wouldn't have to do another competition (in fact even in the years in which Italy was absent from the Eurovision Song Contest, Sanremo was there, in fact Sanremo has continued uninterruptedly since 1951). As anticipated, Sanremo was also born before both the Eurovision Song Contest (born in 1956) and Eurovision in general. In case you already knew it, forgive me, but may this comment be useful to someone who doesn't know it, because Italians are fed up with Sanremo being considered a simple national selection for Eurovision. I didn't expect to write such a long comment, but if I did it means there was a lot to say.
Yes I did know this, but thank you for saying what you did in such a calm way it’s much appreciated 💕 Do you think Marco will change his song? I know that it has been discussed since I filmed this reaction 💕
Sanremo è il festival della canzone italiana , nato prima dell'eurofestival. È molto importante per noi italiani, Non è la selezione per l'eurofestival . Chi vince va per effetto collaterale all'eurofestival ma a noi importa di Sanremo .😌
Marco Mengoni has declared to the Italian press that he will not bring two lives to EUROVISION 2023 but probably another song in English in fact whoever wins Sanremo has the possibility to change the song
He said that he doesn't know yet. And the possibility to change the song is for everybody, not only for who wins Sanremo. Last year Emma Muscat (Malta) changed the winning song of her national selection and brought a new one to Eurovision
For the Sanremo contest you have to sing in Italian although a few lyrics in another language are tolerated. I also have to disagree with you about Brividi which I feel is one of the best entries ever in ESC history.
Ah I don’t know why this never crossed my mind thank you for letting me know. Brividi I liked to begin with but then due to the performance on the night being off pitch I started to dislike it. 💕
@@SimplethingsOfficial that is unfortunately very true. The harmonies in that song are difficult and I feel the two singers didn't rehearse enough and gave a subpar performance which is a real shame.
ANOTHER WASTED OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE FOREIGNERS’ PERSPECTIVE ABOUT ITALY. Cenere by Lazza was a much better choice, as much as many other brilliant Sanremo songs. It has a BOMB of a production by Dardust, and it’s obviously 10 times more anjoyabme than Due Vite. Elodie and Madame were not bad picks, too . I totally respect and admire Marco, but this is just another basic ballad with no production at all. We are the “pizza mafia slow ballads country” according to the European audience, we could show them it is not true at all but we just don’t care much about that. The song we send to ESC should be INDEPENDENT from Sanremo, because press boomers always vote for outdated tunes!
It’s interesting that you say this but I don’t see Italy as a “ballad” country. You have had a wide variety of styles over the year from ballads to pop to rock.
Mario ....
Italy Is currently the Best Song

Not at all! He just said that he was going to consider all the possibilities, even other songs. In my opinion, he will choose Due Vite, anyway.

Superficial comment which shows a lack of knowledge of Esc history and mechanisms.
