Great video. I did it in record time on my mother in laws cars. Easy to understand and vital parts made easy.

This video was a life saver! Even with the detailed instructions the job proved to be a bit challenging, but I persevered and got it done. Thanks for taking the time to make this video 👍

Many thanks, Mark. Just did the swap after watching your video. Getting the new handle in without bending the taps is a bit tricky. Also, drilling out the plastic pin took a bit time. Absolute overengineered rubbish design from BMW. And I say this is a German Mechanical Engineer. However, took 45 mins in total. Job done. Thanks again.

Just started this. I've began unhooking the wires. This is a lot bigger job than expected. Saw there's a version that just goes over the existing. Wondering if it'd be worth getting one of those before going any further.

i thought so too, but there is a much easier way. I just finished both doors in under an hour. disconnect the door actuator but nothing else, place the door card next to the seat (like it would sit closed) and it will stay there perfectly. The old door insert can be unscrewed on one side (2 screws t-20) and pull the door pull down, and the other side with the welded plastic, you break the old clip and fish out the other half of the broken door pull half moon. The replacement style ones have open ends that can slip right into the plastic weld side and with some finesse, you can pop it in. Was so happy i could put away my drill bits and never have to use them.
