Catching White Fish at Banks Lake in Washington

Today we were fishing for white fish.
I also show a little of my Tracker boat set-up.
My boat:
2018 Tracker Pro guide 175WT
With Mercury 115hp motor
My fishing set-up:
I used an ice fishing rod
28 inches long
Medium light
12lb braided line with a tied on 10lb fluorocarbon line
We used a little piece of salad shrimp on small hooks.

Awesome. Are you soaking your shrimp in any scent? We tried shrimp with not much success.

Most of the time we use straight out of packaging, when it’s tough bite soaking it in the “egg cure powder” the one that you use for Kokanee but either red or purple color works really good. Adding krill scent works good too. But you guys probably went at bad timing. Right now white fish is near the bank spawning . If you want i can tell you all I know in the email 😁

Not as bad, these fish come pretty big most of the time. So I fillet them like a salmon and only deal with pin bones that’s all. I’ll do a catch and cook on these once the ice fishing starts for these fish.
