I just love how you went full steam on into furniture renovation while having all that work ahead of you 😄 All the people with deadlines above them can fully understand you 😆
BAHAHA! I know! It has already helped so much with the ability of making all the pieces though. I really questioned whether it was a good idea, maybe not the best time but it has already helped so much! The pressure made me do it faster though!
So happy for your continued success since you began this project at the beginning of the pandemic. You bring so much needed wholesome, pure, creative energy to this space. Can't wait to see what you create. 600 pieces? You can do this.
THANK YOU! It has been such a whirlwind these past couple of years. I am just so happy my love for this craft could be passed onto you all and serve as such a comfort. We are on track for 600 but time will tell if we can manage it!
Find moments to pause and enjoy this momentous experience. The chairs will be part of that memory!!! Congratulations on achieving these goals. Thanks for taking us along on your maker journey and inspiring creation!
They will be! They are already so very special in my space! Thank you so much for your congratulations! It means a lot to me! I am so glad I can take you along the ride with me!

I REALLY enjoyed seeing your process for this big event. I would love to have a regular Studio Vlog! Is your larger kiln going to be up and running before the events?
Wow, you sure have a lot to do! Keep plodding along and you'll get there in time for your big Finders Keepers market. Shelby if you do have pieces that have a munor flaw like a chip or something do you sell them as seconds or anything on your website?
Holy crap, 600 is sooo much. Maybe once each set is done, go ahead and pack it up (with plenty of labeling) to be ready for the events. That way you're not rushing the day before trying to pack it all up. Plus, it'll be more compact and away from the shelves so you still have storage room. Oh, how do you keep your clothes clean from clay? Do you change before the talk to camera? I really hope your new kiln can be finished before too long. For the tiny kiln, I've noticed the white parts slowly cracking more and more, along with the brown areas I assume from the fire. Is there a point where that has to be repaired or replaced?
That is such a good idea! As I was photographing the pieces I was thinking ‘this is going to be a task to prove everything’ so I love that idea! I don’t know how I stay so clean tbh! Some days I do get a bit messy but I think it’s just lots of practice! I wear the same clothes in the talking as I do throughout the work day. Also tell me about it with the kiln 😵💫 I look back at old videos and all the kiln bricks are so perfect, no cracks and no carbon residue! It’s getting pretty wild in there! The bricks just need to insulate so they are really big! If they break you can use a high fire cement to glue them back. The black residue is carbon which is burnt out of any dust and materials that burn off the pottery as it’s fired. I’ve tried cleaning this off but you just damage the bricks! On the shelves it’s ok because these get cleaned and more kiln wash is applied so it doesn’t last for long! But yess the kiln had seen better days 😅
I just love how you went full steam on into furniture renovation while having all that work ahead of you 😄 All the people with deadlines above them can fully understand you 😆

💕🦆💕
You need a bigger kiln! Lol😊
Bahahaha tell me about it! I’m still waiting for parts for it 😵💫
