The regions which Brahman aspirants after heavenly bliss reach by performing many sacrificial rites, and by austerities of various forms, the same seats of bliss are attained in an instant's time by valorous men, who meet their death while blamelessly fighting on a field of battle.
श्लोक :
जितेन लभ्यते लक्ष्मीम तेनापिवराहनाः । . क्षणध्वंसि निकाये स्मिन्काचिन्तामरणेरणे॥ ४६ ॥
अनुवाद :
संग्राम में मस्तक से गिरता हुआ रुधिर जिस के मुख में प्रवेश करता है वह मुख संग्राम रूपी यज्ञ में विधिपूर्वक सोमपान करने वाले मुख के तुल्य है।

अनुवाद :
जब युद्ध में जय होने से लक्ष्मी और मरने से स्वर्ग मिलता है, वो क्षणमात्रमें नष्ट होने वाली कायाके रणमें मरनेकी क्या चिन्ता है!
If victorious, wealth is won; if death results, beauti ful women fall to his share; since this corporeal frame is liable to perish in an instant's time, why should we be shy of meeting death on a field of battle?
श्लोक :
ललाटदेशाद्द्रुधिरंखवच्चयस्या हवेतुप्रविशेतवक्त्रम् तत्सोमपानेनकिलास्यतुल्यं संग्रामयज्ञे विधिवदृष्टम् ॥ ४७ ॥
अनुवाद :
संग्राम में मस्तक से गिरता हुआ रुधिर जिस के मुख में प्रवेश करता है वह मुख संग्राम रूपी यज्ञ में विधिपूर्वक सोमपान करने वाले मुख के तुल्य है।
If blood oozes out from the forehead, 'while fighting, and enters the mouth that is on a par with a drink of the soma juice, for a fight is a religious rite properly performed; so it has been represented by the saints.
श्लोक :
अनाथं ब्राह्मणप्रेतं येवहन्तिद्विजातयः ! पदे पदे यज्ञफलानुपूर्व्यालन्तिते ॥ ४८ ॥
तेषामशुभं किञ्चिद्विजानां शुभकर्मणि । जलावगाहनात्तेषां सद्यःशीचं विधीयते ॥ ४९ ॥
अनुवाद :
जो द्विजाति लोग मरे हुए अनाथ ब्राह्मण को श्मशान में ले जाते हैं वे क्रम से पग २ में यह के फल को प्राप्त होते हैं और उन द्विजों को शुभ कर्म करने में कुछ भी अशुभ वा दोष नहीं हैं क्योंकि जल में स्नान करने से उन की उसी समय शुद्धि हो जाती है।
Those excellent Brahmans, who carry the corpse of a friendless Brahman, gain, at every step they take, one by one, all the objects for which a sacrifice is performed. Blessed is their deed. No evil happens to them; nor do they incur a sin. By plunging in water, they then and there are freed from impurity.
