Unless they get some great scripts for new shows, they lose general publics interest and don't get work. Age also matters a lot for female actresses in entertainment induatry. In TV serials, very few older actresses get to continue their work as lead actress. Sanaya had been around for a long time. She wasn’t getting proper scripts to maintain her popularity and new generation of actors started getting fame. General public loved her character Khushi in IPKKND, not her as an actress. As time passed and new gen actors took over, she got forgotten. People still lover her character Khushi but It's not something she'll get to play again bcz of her age. If she had done more shows with good scripts, she probably would have survived in TV industry.
But her friend drashti dhami is still playing as lead actress and delivering successful shows ..I think becuz Sanaya asked for pay parity they blacklisted her it's all inside politics i guess

Only time she flopped was with Pardesh mein hain mera dil, bcz it wasn’t that great. Just look at Sanaya's role choices after IPKKND. None of them, except Rangrasiya, were memorable. Rangrasiya was nice in beginning but lost audiences attention after a while. After IPKKND, she worked in a more serious, family drama, which wasn’t her audience. Working on a SonyTV project is not that easy. I don't believe she was blacklisted. She just made the wrong role choices after such a huge hit show. People dont watch tv to see great acting. Most of the indian tv dramas' target audience are women. They relate to the female.lead. A few years back, we used to hear jokes that female actresses have most of the lines in each episode compared to the male actors. Then WHY ? The producers, being awomen herself, underpay the female actress and favor male actors over them when they are the main attraction of the show for indian viewers, which contains most of women.
IPKKND 3 was such a bad written show it did not have any substance so i am glad she didnt do it. The first season stood out not only because of their chemistry but also because the show was written very well till their real wedding plot after that it also felt like a stretch.

Jodha akbar is my most fav show but the cherry on the top is the lead actors used to have so much problematic each other . Do research on that and also come up with this one . I heard somewhere the director of the show used to misbehave with female actors from which one of them left the show . The chemistry of the lead actors are off the charts but their offscreen behaviour is pathetic .

He got ruined when he did badnaam,the movie which was based on sex trafficking but it lacked everything
