- 7/9/19 - Mestia, Svaneti, Georgia - We got the cable car halfway up the mountain at the ski resort in Mestia but unfortunately only the first lift was working so we couldn’t take it all the way to the top. So we got off and walked up the mountain to get a better view of Mestia and the surrounding mountains of Svaneti. This place is beautiful!

Svaneti is really magical place. Hope you enjoy! We call our country Sakartvalo and as I know Lietuva started to call us Sakartvelo not Georgia 😂 People are confused all the time and we always have to add “country not state” 😂

Hey! I'd probably say Svaneti - although if you don't have as much time and are going from Tbilisi then Kazbegi will be easier (plus there's the option to do the paragliding there which is amazing!)

I guess it's a little hard for me to say as I was neither a solo traveller nor a female, but from my experience I found it very safe and didn't feel threatened at any point. According to Girl About The Globe - she found it safe and also talks about Georgia introducing a fine for men staring at women - but I haven't looked into this (www.girlabouttheglobe.com/solo-travel-georgia/)
