- For the first time since independence, the opposition in Seychelles has won a presidential election. Richard Quest sat down with the island nation’s new president Wavel Ramkalawan to talk sovereignty, human rights, and taking power in a pandemic.

Excuse me Sir, Mr Richard Quest . Since you were talking about China being in Sri Lanka and asking about the Seychelles geopolitical positions with China I would like you to investigate the return of Diego Garcia to their motherland.
The Chagos Diego Garcia also was a paradise before the Americans occupied the beautiful island to build their military base..Thousands islanders were just dumped in Mauritius and the Seychelles..The international court of justice had ruled out that the island should be returned to the motherland.The people of the island aren’t even allowed to go and visit the tombs of their loved ones ...
Will the Americans know when it’s time to go ..
As a seychellois, 95% population is christian, so the only gay couple who’s interest in this offer will be foreigner💯

The president handled this very well. Can't say the same for Quest. So incredibly pompous, almost talking down to the president. Look at his body language. Makes me cringe. "When are you gonna change the law?" Excuse me buddy, what gives you the damn right to impose your values on the policies and beliefs of another state? If a foreign journalist spoke to POTUS in such an arrogant tone, he/she would be crucified. Must say President Ramkalawan was very diplomatic in his answers. And that endless baiting about China, for heaven's sake, give us a break with your political agenda, CNN.
