If you are visiting Arequipa, you definitely have to check out Colca Canyon. You can trek the area for 2 or 3 days and have an amazing adventure. I did 2-day trekking around Colca Canyon and absolutely loved it: ua-cam.com/video/dRBgBG7GPY4/v-deo.html
03:38 You mentioned Pisco . It was one of the main exported liqour back in Colonial Times from Peru. Its name came from the quechua word Pisco = Ave = Bird. . . . because it was exported from Pisco Port from year 1,600 . One of the main buyer were Chile. About 150 years ago in Chile tried to create a replica of our Pisco , but with different kind of grapes and different kind of distillery. There was an international dispute about this, even though Peru won, actually our main buyer of Pisco is Chile . . . ironically as it was 400 years ago . . Both Pisco are quite different and all the pisco sours prepared in Chile are made with Peruvian Pisco. They also love our food and we love their wine

Congratulations Aliki, Arequipa , the white city, is not only the second city from Peru, but the most secure and has one of the best cuisine , a mixed of Spaniards and Amerindians foods, almost 300 sunny days in the year, I hope you can visit the Colca Valley, enjoy La Calera hot springs and the Condor viewpoint, and finally the Cotahuasi Canyon, the deepest in the world where you can do rafting and hiking. Keep enjoying and discovering my country .Greetings from Lima, Peru
We are planning to visit Arequipa in October. Do you recommend 2 or 3 full days in Arequipa? We are not sure if there is enough to keep us occupied. Any suggestions would be helpful. We love your videos!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much 😊 Good question! I think just for the city itself 2 days are enough. If you are short on time and want to save some time for other places then if you plan your day really well, you could do all in one full day! This is if you don't count in any day trips from Arequipa. 😉 Ah I loved Arequipa, I hope you have an amazing trip! 🤩
@@AlikiTravelBlog Thank you for your reply! We have been to Peru several times before... to Lima, Cusco and Ollantaytambo. We decided to spend three days in Arequipa. I hope that won't be too many days there and that we won't be bored. Thank you again!
@@roseanzaldi3660 Ouh amazing! Well in that case..do you like hiking? I would highly recommend 2-day trip to Colca Canyon then. It is still for me one of my favorite hikes I have ever done! So it would be one full day for exploring the city and then 2 days - Colca Canyon. In case you do not like hiking you can also do Colca Canyon as a day trip, that does not include hiking, just stopping at the best viewpoints I believe. Here was my 2-day trekking: ua-cam.com/video/dRBgBG7GPY4/v-deo.html 😉

@@Walterdez wow I am extremely impressed!!! Yes, it is a very beautiful song. It talks about gratitude 😊 Like how grateful we are for what we have and the nature and little things God gives us.
