I had no idea that this pump has its own oil! Thank you very much for this information. Mine is a Ford A-62. Pump looks exactly the same. Cheers from Tasmania.
In United States we call that a banjo fitting, used on many fluid systems and brake hoses. two different pumps were used on the Ford 5000; the Simms or a CAV pump. I am not sure diesel is supposed to leak from them internally. It might have internal seals leaking. Good video Janne Karppanen!
These in-line pumps slowly leak diesel from pistons and it goes to pump oil sump, that's why there is overflow pipe. Also if fuel pump diaphragm leaks, it goes to oil. Also here in Finland we call it banjo fitting (banjoliitin).
There are two places where diesel can come from: from high pressure pistons that have no seals or transfer pump diaphragm is broken. High pressure pistons always leak a little so that may happen if oil is not changed in many years.

This was very informative! Wow! I had no idea how to service my Simms injector pump. Thank you!
Tarkistustulppa tulee itse avattua näissä ruiskutuspumpun öljynvaihdoissa. Saan sen öljyn määrän kohdilleen.
Joo, unohtui avata. Tulipa pumpun liikkuvat osat voideltua kun oli täynnä öljyä B-)
My Ford 2120 has the same thing. Most dealers don't know about it.
If pure diesel came out that can mean only one thing…the pump seals are toast. Time for a rebuild.

We have Ford 8000 and it stops working sometimes is this the same pump for Ford 8000?
No idea.
