It's hard to separate the art from the artist. How am I supposed to buy Will Smith as a tough guy now? All I can imagine is that Jada was doing the pool guy in his bed while he's on take 3.
There is no separating the two. His career, like Pacino, DeGeneres, or whomever else, is built on their image. Once they've defaced their image, their appeal is also defaced. It is unreasonable to be expected to separate the two in a business where _they_ have made the two interdependent.
You might have a hard time watching many movies then. Dig in to most A Listers in Hollywood and you'll find some disgusting behaviour that makes Will Smith look like a saint. I lost a lot of respect for him when he slapped Chris Rock. It was the actions of a bully. But I can still watch his movies and take them for what they are. Its acting, its not real.

This movie gave me the only hope in 2024 that they can still make a straight action and comedic movie that kept me engaged and laughing. What kept this franchise going strong was the chemistry that Martin and Will shared over the years. They never changed or neither the directors intervened in their characters. The directors acknowledged that there was absolutely no need to intervene and that their roles would just flow naturally like they have been since the start.

Also, one of the best things about the Bad Boys movies, is that, it isn't 100% required to watch the previous films to understand anything. The 9 ring wraiths of Sauron 😂
How tf did I read this the exact moment he said it
Same 😂😂
He's talking about those girls that sold 'em out. Freaking ring wraith's....
This is why I watch your channel Drinker..honest analysis. Thanks man..
Man, Martin Lawrence looks like he is allergic to shell fish and all they fed him during the shooting was shrimp.
Yes he looks awful

Love you, Drinker, but wild horses couldn't pull me into a Slappy Smith movie ever again.
No-one cares.

Its hard to convince myself to imagine him as a hero, when you know he is a joker. Once you see it, you just cant unsee it.
Yeah, not going to see it.
yeah i am struggling with whether i should go see it - i just dont like will smith anymore. he seems like a bottom to me now..
he has always been a joker, the fresh prince of belair

Part 2: Bad Boys

So you only form your opinion based on what someone else says is good?
No thoughts of your own, huh
That's a very cringeworthy statement to openly make. You are an individual and you don't have to like or dislike everything he does.
Dude, this movie was SOLID!!!! Camera work, jokes, pacing.. and REGGIE!!!!!!!! It truly kicked off the summer movies for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, I just love this channel. You gave me the motivation to start my own humor based crime channel.
Keep up the good work!👍
It's hard to separate the art from the artist. How am I supposed to buy Will Smith as a tough guy now? All I can imagine is that Jada was doing the pool guy in his bed while he's on take 3.
Bro, he just a human being like us. Not everyone is perfect. Also, it's not like he's "Harvey Weinsteining" him at the Oscar.
How did you buy him as a tough guy in the first place? He literally always had a nice guy reputation.
@@davidkelly499 His actions at the Oscars were real though.....
I haven't seen a single one of these and it's about time I rectified that.
I won't ever be able to see Will Smith as a hardcore lead every again. I am glad to hear so many enjoyed the film.
Then you gotta see it just for Martin Lawrence. He owned every scene he was in, and had the best/funniest scene in the whole movie towards the end
@@kingdedede6145 I do enjoy Martin Lawrence's performance.

This is like the last one. Nothing new just safe.
I would say this is better than the last one because Martin Lawrence had "better form" on this one.
The last one was pure trash with the annoying team and random MMA fights instead of Bayhem.
James Bond has 20+ films. Are they all good, absolutely not but they know how the formula works and most of are perfectly fine on that.
So they ditched that nonsense here? It might actually be worth checking out
Enjoyed this and your right so needed & I forgot life for a few hours! but it does seemingly seem to be going down the "Fast" route! Bigger Team & Bangs!
"You are him, and you are you". That line always cracks him.
This was my favorite of the franchise. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
A glimmer of hope for the future. The Drinker gives a nod to a movie, instead of puking on your shoes in despair at another hollyturd gem.
Also, going to delve into your alter ego and see what "Space Writer Guy" has been up to. Got my first book in the mail the other day.
You could say this movie is a slap in the face of current day Hollywood
I always found Will's acting heavy handed.
so yet again, the customers show us what we all want, Bad Boys is this year's Top Gun.. we still want and enjoy those bombastic 80s and 90s adventure movies with plots that may not be overly complex but are followable and relatable with characters who don't need to break down others to feel important. More of this, PLS... (Knowing they won't listen but hoping anyway)
The last years were full of fun movies that just wanted to be entertaining:
2021 has Godzilla vs Kong, Free Guy, No way home
2022 has Top Gun Maverick & Bullet Train
2023 has John Wick 4 & Mi 7
2024 has Bad boys 4, Dune 2 and possibly Deadpool 3 now
It's great to hear a more positive sounding send off from Drinker in this video! Also didn't even know there was a 4th instalment until Drinker's videos brought it up. Looking forward to it, one of my favourite movies from the 90s!
The movie's a definition of dumb fun. And i love it for this. It's like going to Macdonald for a cheap sh!t burger. When i order it, i expect them to provide a cheap sh!t burger. Nothing more, nothing less. No rainbows, no old socks, no social justice. This movie is my cheap sh!t burger, and I love it for being exactly what i wanted it to be and not even trying to act like it's a ravioli. Thanks mr Slap.....oops Smith! Pepellio 🐸 is the best, if you know you know
You are so right. No b.s. Just fun at the movies.
Why have you copied someone else’s comment, complete with the same typos?

My favorite character in the Bad Boys saga is the police captain.
I can't stop laughing everytime he cracks a joke.
Just found this channel. Great writing!!! Reallt enjoy it
They should cast Will Smith in The Acolyte so he can slap the shit out of everybody in it and keep the f-cking Force out of everybody’s damn mouths.
It's nice to hear that they didn't mess up a franchise for a change.
I DIED when you said they're being chased by the 9 Rings!! 😂😂😂
Drinker you standards are getting lower than the entry requirements into Jada! TH are you on dude?!
No passing of the torch to their daughters? 🎉 wow amazing! 😂😂
The thing is: That Chris Rock incident made Will Smith look like a giant douche, and sadly that now taints all those characters he plays in movies.
He's been a douche, even before Fresh Prince. Anyone, paying any attention knows!
@@meekmeads. Most people did not know. He made it impossible to not know now.

Check out The Fall Guy. This is how you do a modern take on an old show. It's fun, it's got the feels, and it doesn't take a dump on groups of peoe just to make other groups look better. It even has a Lee Majors cameo.
I liked it as well.
Bad ass series right up there with A-team.
Hit return before k checked it so $1.99 for my fail
Will Smith is such an incredible actor, he's a gay man playing straight!
Always has been
Ahahahahaahaha, hilarious
He is a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude.
More like a simp playing an alpha.
Back in the 90’s I worked with a young man whose uncle worked for rap-a-lot records. He said the gayest man in rap was W Smith , and the biggest @$$ pirate was P Diddy. He knew that 25 yrs ago
Reggie was such a blast....he finally earned their respect.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just watched it, agree on Reggie completely. I mean, dude even won the grill rights at the end...
I loved this film. Such a relief after the rubbish we’ve had.
I know. I was watching it in the cinema and all the guys were digging it in the cinema. The critics who said it's a dead era are wrong - people love these films!
Imagine the pension these guys must have after like 45 years of service 😂
After the shit you went through, Drinker, I'm glad you enjoyed Bad Boys Ride or Die! This movie was FUN! I've been a fan since the first film! And they're all excellent! And this one, is no exception either! Will and Martin still have the same energy and comedy to their characters! One of the BEST duos in cinema! Also, one of the best things about the Bad Boys movies, is that, it isn't 100% required to watch the previous films to understand anything. You can literally jump right in, in any film and still have a blast! Back in 2020, the third film was one of the highest films of that year. And now this new one, is breaking records again! Something tell me, the boys will be back for a 5th film! Well, whenever it happens, I'll be here waiting! BAD BOYS! BAD BOYS! WHACHA GOIN DO!?
Great upload 👌
I cant look at Will without feeling pity and a little bit of disgust of what he turned into from that horror of a wife.
Everyone does, my friend.
What do people say about separating the art from the artist?
He married her 😂.
In case it makes you feel better thay're two narcissists who deserve each other. He's the black Tom Cruise and she's an equally self-obsessed harpy.

I feel uneasy when a movie reviewed by the Drinker does not have Strong Female Character n+1
It takes a lot to get me to brave the twenty to thirty minutes of ads before the movie want to see anymore, and this doesn't look like enough to me. Glad you had a good time.
The fact that the two leads are black and the thematic doesnt revolve around them being black is the key for why this movie does so well compared to others which center around the main characters race.
Tbf the entire premise of this franchise had never been about race.
can you imagine if they leaned into that...
@@MollyHJohns and yet projects like star wars, marvel, (disney in general) and such have heavily leaned into race
Seems obvious that jada should have been the villain.
But then you'd need to add "based on a true story" !
as Disney is trying to ban you i have just subbed to show my support. you do your job well and honestly.
Drinker my good man. Can you review Bad boys one and bad boys two please. Trust me you will like it.
