You just reignited my hope on my 185s. I walked out back a couple weeks ago and noticed the wind had decided to remove one of my rear fenders and dispose it in a place unknown. Hopefully I can find the piece when the snow melts, but if not, now I know how to make a new one. Thanks!
Dang, I hope you find your fender 😁😁 One thing to note if you don't know, the later 3 wheelers use plastic fenders, not fiberglass like the ATC90s . Fiberglass and resin won't stick to the plastics at all. The UA-cam channel @mrcbuilds has a good plastic welding video where he fixes up some later Honda plastics. Best of luck in your project and thanks for stopping by!
@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS exactly my thoughts watching you! I noticed you had some kinda regulator and possibly a water filter pre air tool? Curious on what that is bc I have problems with water in my compressor system. I even put a water filter off the tank, but then I’ve had people tell me you need to put it farther down the line? Something little and in-line pre-tool appeals to me
@@EDBZ28 , I usually just drain the tank and use an in line filter by the compressor. It must not be too humid here because I dont have too much problems with moisture.
Well, I have two more frames 😁 Maybe I'll round up some more parts over time and build one of each of the 4 colors. The problem is going to be finding tires around where I live. Zero out there.
Amazing job on that rear fender . How many hours did you put into it ? I got my first ATC around 1979 , and it was an orange 1974 90 . I love watching you and hopefully learning from you .
Cool Glad you like it. This one took some time. I was jumping between this and the metal work on the front fender so I can't remember exactly hot long it took, but if I were to guess, maybe a weekend to grind off all of the old finish and make the foam/silicone molds. Then another weekend off and on laying down the fiber glass and laying down the long strand filler. Then another weekend off and on with the bondo and priming and blocking. Then another afternoon painting, wet sanding and buffing. I think it took me a little over a month putsing around on the weekends to do both the front and rear fender.

I kind of like the butterscotch yellow color myself but that green sure is nice too.
