UPDATE! Problem solved! I finally found the BIOS chip and reflash that with SOFI Flypro device by downloading the BIOS binary from a russian site. I found the BIOS chip by meter the voltages on each chips. My laptop: Lenovo G50-45. So if every voltages are OK, you have to find the BIOS EEPROM and reflash it with an external device. my laptop is also lenovo g50-30. it was working.and I plugged it into the charger while the charge was running low. shows that it is charging but the percentage did not increase and turned off. I replaced the battery, the laptop burned out and worked, and turned off again without power. then the indicator also did not light up. this laptop does not burn only through the charger without a battery. in fact, can this laptop burn without a battery (with charger)?. if you know the condition of my laptop please help me. thank you so much for your help. The problem is, I have both LEDs working, but it doesn't start up and shows nothing on external screen. Also please explain how exactly do you short the CMOS battery since it's not visible on the video. Thank you in advance!
Thanks man for all videos! Tips: You can also reset the Bios by pressing power button (about 15 second) without open the laptop. :-)

Hi please I want to ask. I have a Lenovo B50-80 and I can't turn it on. Once connected, the board heats up in the processor area. When I measure the USB power I measure 0.2-1V. The main battery has 2V. Small battery 3.1V. The power transformer is fine. After pressing the power button, the netobook does not start, the diodes do not light up. Thank for help.

hola buen dia tengo la misma maquina y por suerte gracias a tu video pude recuperarla el tema es el siguien el chips levanta mucha temperatura y despues de unos minutos se apaga es desir que tendria que revisar y tambien me paso que enfrio conecto el cargador y no enciende ningun led tengo que desarmar y volver a realizar la misma operacion con calor

No, it's most likely the graphics chip.. You will need to reflow it using the heat gun.. It should work. Note that it's not permanent solution and you will most likely have to do that again in few weeks/months/a year.. He has a video on that exact fault and fix. You should watch it.
Also before all that, try shorting the CMOS battery

i know, blind luck, but .... i think from the graphics chips point of view, heat can change a lot of things inside of a chip

I have the same laptop but the symptoms are the following: if I press the power button the laptop it's starting the power but after 3 seconds the power it's shutting down..If I press again the power button the laptop it's just booting fine..what can be the issue? RAM it's ok. hdd it's ok, bios it's ok..Also, when I try to power the laptop without the charger connected(battery power only) it refuses to turn on...after 3 seconds the power it's shutting down and if i press again the button it's not booting..
After plugging my Lenovo g50-30 into charge. It went off. It powers on for 10 seconds, shuts itself off. Power, and charging lights are on, then go off. I've looked at the mother board, it has a soldered in chip for bios. Charger fine. Anyone got any advice

Thats weird watched that (and other your videos too) checked all power 19v present, battery power too, shorted bios battery for long time, battery voltage seems to be fine 3v, 5.5v present, all fine, heated startup chip with hair dryier for now very close to the chip. Chip was red hot, but nothing wont turn on? Do you have any thoughts? My model is same but with i5 in it. Dont want to throw it away its only 1 year old. Was working fine before. Changed charging port as positive wire came out and dont really know how did u fixed that. Can not find anything what was its problem. What county are u based btw? I might just come and drop you laptop if its close enough. Hope u can help. If no just let me know u cant help me. Anyways very good videos! Loads to learn from you already!

@@soccerushtv8511 yes, over heating in gpu chip, and cpu burnt too.. sadly my misses said that she used laptop on the bed, and covered all fan holes to let hot air out. I had to bin that laptop.
Please help! I have the same laptop. I have LED power light but no picture anyway. Backlight won't come, the screeen is black. Checked the VGA output with monitor, nothing. I have good voltages, I have 19V, 3.3V and 5V on the power supplies. When insert battery and plug the charger, charging LED is OK! Only black screen at all. Does this mobo have BIOS chip on board or inside the startup chip? I cannot find the BIOS chip. I shorted backup battery too. What could be the problem if ANY voltages are OKey? CPU fan spinning, CPU and GPU warming like normal. THANKS!

For the power light to come on for me on the motherboard, I used the positive lead from my Volt meter (with my negative lead on ground) and probed the outer connections of the ITE chip. I learned that the methodology I mentioned above & ITE chip connection is the problem when the issue reoccurred and I had to fix it again ("waste of time") lol. At any rate, I took a photo of what I did to resolve my issue. If you want a copy of the photo, please send me your email.

hello i just fixed a i7 g50 with your help in this video, i jumped battery no luck,,,, I heated up the chip and the laptop powered on and Continue to work for several hours.. but after a few power cycles it would do the same. after it stopped working i jumped the battery but no luck,, 5 minutes later I tried again Powered up fine.
After playing with it I realize now that resetting the battery will get it to boot.. If I close the lid and I let it go into power save mode it will never wake up.. Requires me to shut down with the power button After that it will not turn on and I would have to start the process over to turned on again. there is a few seconds after resetting battery before will power on..
I was wondering if the laptop in Video continues to work fine after it was Returned to customer. and if replacing this chip could be a permanent fix,

You can do, but easier will be to use an Cooling Pad for laptops.
Hello Sorin! I'm new. In wich mode is the multimeter set? Always is showing mV movement although the probes aren`t touching anything.
He is touching probes with his hands, charge on human body causing that issue.

Hello i would like to say that all of your videos are great and enjoy watching them. I have a problem i wish you could maybe give some tip in repairing my system. It is the same shitty laptop as in this video. I have tried with two repair shops already and both are saying that the cpu is dead which i dont believe is true. I want to give it a go myself i know basic visible fault repairs. The equipment i have is a digital multimeter and a soldering iron. The things im missing is power station and hot air station. I have tested for voltage with multimeter on the board and it stops at one of the switching chip near the power connecter and does go any further rest of the board. I want to ask you that is there anyway we can test the cpu is dead or not for sure.

probably not, those beeps mean your motherboard perform the autotest and a error its found.
sometimes it beeps if i take out bios battery and when i first put back battery and plug in power it beeps after light comes on and the light goes out and nothing

Again a lightening speed repair! Too fast for me to follow. What was the trick this time? Was it the 500 C on the ITE chip or the tweezers on the bios battery that did the job or both? This shop cannot survive without you, I guess.

I have exactly same issue, but shortening battery on bios did not work, i dont have heat gun but used hair drayer with extention pointing to whole chip, and pressed down still same. May i have photo what have you done? tosnew@ultraportal.eu thanks.

Too bad I'm not facing the same issue here, your work is awesome and really instructive. On my board the ITE chip looks good but I was able to trace an other small component which heats up fast when the charger is connected. No lights for the power or the battery. The component is named ND4MM, I can't find what it is. Any idea ? Thank you again for your work and time :p

I have a similar model, the g50 45, It has the same problem, i thought it was the charging port at first but it turns out that it wasn't. There is this one small component that heats up extremely.
