Ikea Italy sells real christmas tree for 15 euro with the roots so its still alive you buy a pot and water the plant . then with the receipt you can give it back to Ikea between 3 and 31 of january and Ikea will give you back 15 euro in bonus so you can spend that money in the Ikea store. at the end the tree is borrowed. better than that. Greetings from Italy.
ikea is creating its biggest store in the world and it will open by next year here in my tropical country(philippines).. and I hope that they would do the same... I would looove to have a real christmas tree from cooler climates in my tropical home

@@user-jb9kn5xu1p sometimes business insider is good, sometimes not so much. this definitely aint the good lol. Got any recommendations for good channels??
I still don't understand why these people don't just sell the tree with roots, so you can return and have it replanted. 10 years gone to waste, so annoying.
@A. V. that oxygen has no value compared to the gas used to transport all of those trees, plus the water needed to grow them just to repeat the process all over again. It's not sustainable at all
All of you people are thinking only in the perspective of business. I'm thinking in the perspective of a single tree that was born to die. A life may arise through you, but once it's alive, it is itself. Parents have not the right to kill their children
My family has had the same plastic christmas tree for 20+ years. Almost infinetely reusable, no destroyed, no wasted ground and resources (gas for transport, water for growing ecc). Americans, please stop. Those trees are made for cold forests, not for your house to look pretty for a month.
Pardon my confusion, but how is cutting down real trees for the sake of a holiday and then throwing them away more sustainable than using a fake tree for several years? Aren’t we trying to save the trees?
Informative video, but you overshot on the title. No one described how trees are grown. If anyone wants to know how trees are grown, we have heaps of videos over on our channel. Take care!
I am a millenial but I don’t think cutting a tree is good for the environment. It took the farm 7-10 years to grow a tree that you will only use in a few weeks.
This is totally against what I'm seeing, I'm noticing more and more fake Christmas trees, for 40$ you save money ,easier to hang ornaments only lacks the 'pine' smell so put some pine scented air fresheners and your good.
I always used fake trees until last year I got a real one but it made such a mess with pine needles everywhere (I still find some to this day!) so I’m back to fake
I'm pretty sure real Christmas trees have less of an environmental impact than real ones. I've had the same fake Christmas tree for 5 years. How is that worst than buying a real tree every year?
I can’t imagine it’s much better for the environment to grow a tree for ten years every year rather than just get a fake one you can’t use for decades.
People are caring more about environment by not buying fake tress and cutting the real ones that may have taken tons of water and other resources just to toss away after some days.🤔🤔
Can someone explain to me how using the same fake tree for 5 years now is bad for the environment. She said locally grown cut down trees are better for the environment. Dont know many people who buy a $300 fake tree and use it once. My brother took my parents old fake tree, 15 Christmases later.
Why does Millennials and boomers always get brought up? Who said so and so is killing trees? Just wanted to watch a video on Christmas trees. Cant even get that.
Shubham Jangid They were literally planted to be cut. This is a business. A FARM. Others are planted after they’re cut. It’s not a forest where they’re going.
Shubham Jangid Nature isn’t a joke. Which is why these trees are planted by the tree farm, nurtured and sustained by the tree farm, harvested by the tree farm and then a fresh crop is planted by the tree farm. The tree farm has a huge field to grow trees in and only some are harvested and replaced every year. It’s a long term business. They DO NOT cut forest trees that have been growing for years. You don’t seem to get the business model at work here that actually adds trees to the environment, not subtracts. And I’m done trying to explain it to you.
Wether you get a fake christmas tree 🎄or a real christmas tree 🎄I wish everyone a merry christmas, and may Jesus Christ the Lord bless you all during the Christmas season❄🎄💙😊🙏💙🎄❄
Christmas trees seem like a double edges sword. Buy a fake one you put more plastic into the environment. Buy a real one you're cutting down a tree for no good reason, leaving the environment with 1 less tree to help it bounce back from the plastic? Idk
Title of the vid "How are Christmas trees grown", subject of the video "Why me and my friend like christmas trees" worst informative video ever, it doesn't teach anything...
What a waste. most real trees are grown for 7-10 years, decorated for a week or two maybe, and then sent to the landfill. Doubt most re use, re cycle, re purpose.
I am done with real trees! In my area, real xmass tree prices have grown steadily over the years and priced themselves out of the market. Sad to see 10 years of life being cut down for a single day

It’s more like 6 weeks dude.

Compost

I have no problem buying a real tree every year. I have mine up for about 5 weeks and then I cut it up and use for the “Kachelofen” to keep us warm.
Rakshit Joshi idk, do you? i was just putting this out there for the ones that think a real tree is a waste.
