literally a couple days after the 2022 nba finals, i said to my family, “it’s going to be bucks vs warriors in the finals next season and it’s going to be a great matchup and classic 7 game series”
You forgot the fact that Steve Kerr, would have 10 rings in total - 5 as a player and 5 as coach, should the Warriors win this year.
Does Bill Russels' Rings as both a player and a coach theoretically count as 4? Or is it just the 2 for the 2 seasons?

Another fact: With Steve Kerr as their head coach, every year the Warriors made it to the playoffs, they made it to the finals (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022). I really hope they continue that thing in the 2023 playoffs and so on. 🏀💙💛

Yeah.... No. I'm a Steph Curry / Golden State stan but even I know that's not true. Last years playoff run Wiggins was the second best player on the team. Obviously Klay was doing something amazing coming back from 2 possible career ending injuries so that's the reason but still. During the 3 year Durant era he was obviously the 3rd best player on the team. Clearly Klay is a big part of Golden States success in Championships and finals appearances but he's defiantly not the greatest sidekick. As the person above me stated it's probably Pipen. Hell, you could make a case for Koby as being Shaq's sidekick during their runs. Imagine that? Kobe being considered a sidekick. Sheeeesh! The only real case Klay might have is his longevity with Steph. They'll probably start and end their careers on the same team.
Injuries happen every year to basically every team and have affected the outcome of every single championship in some way. I think putting a ‘faded asterisk’ on the Bucks championship because of the Nets injuries (which didn’t even come in the finals) is somewhat dishonest.

Fully agree. The Bucks had their own share of injuries which affected their seeding and from memory the Nets series too. Even the Lakers “Mickey Mouse” ring is still a legit ring because they still beat what was proven to be the best team coming from the East.

I don't put an asterisk by any championship. They all take incredible skill, drive, and luck. Some have more luck but that's out of their control. Feels wrong to discredit someone who worked hard because of things beyond their control

Facts. If you go back in history you can put an asterisk on almost every title. Every championship run involved a little bit of luck
A Top 10 list without Curry on it is wild. And KD above Curry right now is even more wild. KD was the best in 2017&18 for Warriors but Curry wasn't too far behind. Only 1 FMVP shouldn't put Curry so far behind KD.

The media only gave the MVP to KD so Lebron fanboys can say “Curry didn’t beat Lebron 3 times, where are his FMVPs?” Oh and they robbed him in the 2015 finals too. For the same reason
I honestly don’t see anyone beating the warriors in a 7 game series at full strength but I think it will probably depend on how Wiggins plays in his return
it will depend entirely on these things: wiggins quality of play in his return (when he returned from injury earlier this year he was bad), limiting turnovers, and getting contributions from the bench like they had last year from Otto porter, GP2, and Belicia.

The Warriors lacks a good big man in the paint. They had Bjelica and they let him go. This season they didn't brought anyone who's at least 6 '10.

Everyone has injuries. We face the team that shows up. Don't put an asterisk by a championship based on injuries. The Dubs were very fortunate to face quite a few teams with significant injuries in each season they won a chip. Then they lost KD and Klay in 2019 losing to the Raptors. No asterisk anywhere found.

He left a contender to go for the easiest championship possible. He did the same thing year with the Suns. He's one of the greatest ever, but I dont think a ring with the Suns changes the argument against him.

I kind of disagree on the last point about it being a disappointment if the pelicans win. I can understand such disappointment if you perhaps fell into a coma and woke up after the playoffs were over; if you're keeping up with the series' then it's almost always exciting seeing an underdog going through better and better teams. I’ve been a Cavs fan my whole life, but I don’t understand why you didn’t even mention the Knicks. They beat us 3 out of 4 times this year. I would not be surprised whatsoever if we lost to them in the first round. I’ve been seeing a lot of people disrespecting them, but they have a good chance of making it to the second round. I know the Knicks choked in 2021, but when have the Cavs without LeBron show you they can just get through them with ease? Our team barely has any playoff experience and our permitted defense sucks ass. I still think we’ll win because we do have the better team, but don’t be shocked if we lose in 5-6 games. Just because the Heat are better in the playoffs doesn’t mean they’re gonna be a contender this year. They didn’t add anyone to their roster and they all got older. There are no asterisks on titles (outside of the bubble). I say that because more teams have won titles beating or avoiding all together the injured "top" teams teams that were considered the heavy favorite going into the playoffs or that specific series.
Injury is a part of the game. Past champs such as Cavs in 2016, Warriors in 2015, Heat in 2013, Lakers in 2009, Spurs in 2007, Heat in 2006, so forth all won but played teams or avoided teams that had injuries that the masses thought would win.
That is a bad take. The Bucks title does not have an asterisk. And i'm not a bucks fan for those who will try to say that.

this. i always tell people, steph is the ONLY top 10 player of all time who's shorter than 6'6. Kobe and MJ were 6'6. To do this things he does and be 6'3, absolutely unreal...this is a very very underappreciated aspect of his game and legacy. The only other PG in the top 10 for most people is magic and he was 6'10

Facts. He has never played professional basketball winning championships are extremely difficult. Furthermore the Phoenix Suns had a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals Giannis hyper-extended his knee came back and the bucks won 4 STRAIGHT games and Giannis scored 50 points in a closeout victory and won Finals MVP. If he can't respect that then his whole perspective is wack.

Putting an asterisk on the Bucks championship is criminal. What about Giannis hyperextending his knee 45° and miraculously coming back a week later? What about Khris being out for a significant amount of time? I’d argue that the Bucks championship was more deserved than every other championship since Lebron and the Cavs.
People put an asterisk on warriors 2015 and raptors 2019 for injuries so it’s warranted

It's because bucks were getting hammered before kyrie injury...So there was a drastic change in the result of that series..Just like how kd's injury completely changed the result of raptors vs warriors series..It doesn't mean they didn't deserve it but when comparing a player's legacy it'll become relevant

Hello, i love your videos. Can you make a video about the best scenarios during 2023 nba playoffs?
For me these would be the best scenarios with no particular order:
1. Lebron James winning the west against curry's warriors in second round and against durant's suns in wcf. Winning it all would be even better.
2. Curry winning the wcf against durant's suns in wcf after trampling on the memphies grizzlies in the wcsf.
3. Durant winning against curry in the wcf- a rematch from 2016 and then winning the finals against Antetokounmpo whatever the spelling is as a revenge from 2021.
4. Celtics winning the east against Bucks in ecf and then winning thr finals against the warriors.
5. Bucks winning thr east against the celtics, and winning the finals against durant.
