I just finished building this kit yesterday. I painted a few small details like the eyes to help catch the light and I picked up some waterslide decals to replace the stickers but other than that and panel lining, mine is a straight build and it looks awesome.
FM Aerial is great. I don't like the HG as much but just because FM exist. Rest of the HG WFM line if more than perfect. Love em! What is your favorite from the WFM gunpla?
@@gundamartz Definitely Calibarn and Aerial Rebuild. My wife loves Beguir-Beu and Michaelis because of the white and purple design. I decided not to get an HG Aerial, and instead get Lfrith, Beguir-Beu, and Aerial CLEAR versions.looking forward to building them next weekend.

This is my first non-MG 1/100 kit I've ever built, and this kit should have been perfect for what it is if not for 3 things: - The price. This thing in my area is as expensive as the MG Barbatos, and frankly, for the same amount of money the MG Barbatos is better in every single way. - The torso structure. This is easily the worst part of this kit. The flimsy ab crunch structure, mainly the peg that connects the two balljoints cannot hold the whole upper torso of the Aerial at all. Not only is it unexpectedly thin for something of this size, but it is also very loose out of the box. Certain poses of this kit can see the Aerial just bending itself backwards due to the torso peg not being able to support the whole upper body at all. Honestly it is already an issue with this kit, which has the lightest armaments out of all versions of the Aerial. I fear for the worst for every other FM variants of the main mobile suits due to their much heavier weaponry. - The beam rifle holding hand. One of the other main issues. I can't understand why there isn't a connector peg with the beam rifle at all. It's flimsy, the hand can't hold the beam rifle at all with the beam blade attached, and posing it is such a nightmare due to how much the thing moves in the hand. Are these design errors intentional or not? I think they are. I think Bandai intentionally half-assed these parts so that people would get the inevitable upcoming Master Grade kit that would 99.9% be superior in every single way.
I can agree with the hands and even price but the torso part is perfect in my copy and holds all poses very well. And I was playing with this one hardly. Maybe try to put some coat on the ball joint to tight it up a little. And yeah, Bandai probably will perfect all those things in MG ver. If we will get any as I'm very concerned about MG future looking at release schedule. This is one of my favs among 1/100 and with all bad things on board there is so many good sides... Especially that it is FM. I was not disappointed by it at all. MG Barbatos is remarkable thanks to design itself but yeah - I miss all the crazy articulation points, especially in hands section + those pistons are top🔥. Im still dreaming about PG Barbie 🤣

@@gundamartz love it! HG aerial was so much fun to put together and i love posing her once in awhile! im always very careful with her though cuz theres always one piece on her arm that likes to fly off sometimes but other than that shes no doubt one of my favorites!
@@CerberusCarmine you will go crazy after playing with FM. Truly. You can imagine if you like the HG so much than FM will multiply this feeling x100 :). Definitely High Grade Aerial is one of the best HG out there. Lfrith is more on me cause the overall design - I really hope we will get 1/100 of it. I need to buy Rebuild also!
Totally go for it! It will be perfect experience for the first time! It is very simple and clear build and really shows what Gunpla is about. You will love it 😊
Unfortunately we do not have clear parts there. Only the black plastic on the permet is clear. So with little effort you can easily install led there to have some cool effect :). You can use some clear plaplate and cut off the eyes shape and replace the green one to achieve the leds in eyes.
Full mechanics did change the game in terms of 1/100 non graded kits. Nowadays fm kits are now a pseudo master grades from its design, gimmick, part seperation and the overall build experience.
@@gundamartz yeah, those kits that the fans or builders wanted a master grade can now easily falls as fm kits. just like they did with calamity, raider and now the upcoming forbidden gundam speaking of which, i'm looking forward to see that in your channel. 😁
I missed the preorder for Forbidden Gundam unfortunately, maybe will get one around premiere. But I have Aile Calamity and it’s coming to the channel for sure. Right now I’m recording Zeta Ver.Ka :)
