The pale green crystals are likely aquamarine rather than emerald. The emerald that comes out of North Carolina is a lot darker. It would be helpful to put more water in to wash off the dirt.

This is great! I spent three days in Spruce Pine, NC and went to several of the gem mines. One of the best vacations we ever had! We got quite a lot of really nice stones cut from what we found. Very cool!

I ordered ?#? of your paydirts last night as I said I would. I just can't wait to see what I find. I don't have any panning tools yet but I am sort of a renaissance man, so I'll figure out how to best run the paydirt. One bag at a time and 2 or 3 times to get all I can. I love looking for beautiful rocks and minerals, garnets are my favorite
I've enjoyed their paydirt so much. What you get really does depend on where they pulled from. One of the bags had those tumbled river garnets because they pulled from the river while another had more amethyst and rutile. Everything that came to me was completely unsalted, and I got those amethyst scepters as well. Great video!

As always another great video.. this was pretty cool to be able to see all the different crystals and minerals .. my favorite were the garnets they looked like raisins cuz they were so big I've like you said only seen tiny ones here in Colorado... I've been collecting rocks and minerals for a long time and one of my favorite pieces is a large piece of crystal clear quartz I found in Arkansas.

I just went threw a quarter of a bucket of random ditch dirt and what helped me was putting the dirt in bottles half way and adding water capping it giving it a good shake and pouring out the water just enough so the heavys dont come out but the mud and water does. I repeat this process with the garden hose filling up my bottle and emptying it until I can visualize the heavys at the bottom and then I pan it. I know you are a expert but I just wanted to tell you about my little cheat I figured out today. ❤ Love your vids!

The mica is muscovite. Muscovite is silvery/white. Phlogopite is brown, biotite is black, and lepidolite is sort of purplish.

I enjoy these extended videos. I am watching th3 videos today 5hat i missed due to working overtime the last two weeks. I seen a Ohio paydirt video. I thought the only gold in Ohio comes from a Jewelry Store or its fools gold. I willbe 2atchint that video next. As always great video Klesh.

I’ve always wanted to get one of these gem paydirts.
We frequent Emerald Hollow Mine, located in Hiddenite NC. Lots of fun! Our NC emeralds (beryl) tend to be darker / opaque. The same goes for our ruby and saphire (corrundrum). There's lots here to find due to the geology of central / western NC. And finding is more than half the fun! :)

Also, tourmaline can be black with a green core, light pink, raspberry pink, green, or if you’re lucky watermelon tourmaline that is green on the outside with a pink core.

I have purchased gem dirt from N. Georgia, N. Carolina as well as in Tennessee. My wife and I enjoy gem mining. I have used my gold pan to work through the paydirt. Found some nice pieces. The pieces that you found are very nice. If you ever come east again look for 3 bears gem mining in pigeon forge Tennessee. They have the best and second would be Goats on the roof also in Pigeon Forge

As I am watching you go through it I am pretty sure you passed up either sapphire or ruby. They are hexagonal and are often small flat pieces up to about a half inch in length. If you shine a flashlight through it, you will see the colors much better.
Using a UV light on the ruby and sapphire will make them glow too. Very cool to see!
