This really is an incredible game, the mere fact that i got so hooked on it without knowing squat about gundam proves that. Also song's so good it made Havyarms my main, such an epic song for such an epic mech, background fits so nicely too
I haven't yet played that one but I've read somewhere that it uses the same engine as this one, although GWED had a few improvements made to the engine...
So I just tried it out the other day, and well, it was okay... The music was nice, the graphics were nice, but you know, the gameplay felt a little slow and unresponsive... It wasn't bad, but it was far from the same level of quality as GWED... Still, I'm glad I tried it out though ^^
I remember this game, surprisingly the Wing Gundam was better than Wing Zero because 1) had a stronger antiair (Wing Zero does a 2-hit shoryuken with its shield but Wing adds an extra hit with the beam saber slamming the opponent down) and 2) the Wing's buster rifle super is way faster and more consistent than the Zero's. Could also be done while airborne as well. The Zero has great normals (specially the heavy punch and the beam saber slashes) and can shoot the beam rifle projectiles directly forward or in an upward angle or in a downward angle (while airborne) but that's it.
Easy! 0080 War in the Pocket, that one is SO good that you don't even have to be a Gundam fan, or even a mech fan to enjoy it, it's great! Very well written, very well paced, very well animated, and you'll really grow attached to those characters!
Well, if you want, I did a few GWED covers on my channel, and I have already done both Mercurius and Deathscythe, the former already being on my Soundcloud, tho it'll take a while for me to upload the Deathscythe cover since it needs to be accepted into something first. I can send you the links to my GWED covers if you'd like, but I need to know if it's okay first, since I'm already advertising this a tad TOO much lol
I too love this game. This was the first one I booted up when I got my SNES, since I remember it being fun in emulators, and man is it underrated. You should make a PC Engine cover of the game's intro, Rhythm Emotion, sometime as well.
When you were losing on heavyarm but this banger starts playing🗿

Another theme well done! You have to wonder how many soundtracks never made any "best of" lists simply because they are largely unknown outside Japan.
Thank you very much ^^
downright criminal that this didn't hit the western market!
Agreed, but consider that this came out in 1996 in Japan...
Back then "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Fighting Edition" was America's GWED.
I haven't yet played that one but I've read somewhere that it uses the same engine as this one, although GWED had a few improvements made to the engine...
100% correct, same sound driver! I find that an interesting parallel too...
That driver is perfect for Shatterhand/Solbrain SNES covers too!

Ah yes playing it in kbhgames.com
Try searching gundam and you will see gundam wing endless duel XD

Oh man, this is my FAVORITE song on the OST.
Nice work as always, Michirin~.
With so many great songs in the OST it's hard for me to pick a favourite, but this one is certainly up there!
Thank you very much ^^
What is your favorite GUNDAM anime/manga ?

I don't blame you for liking this game, me and my older brother challenge each other to duels on this game all the time XD
I used to play it with my cousin on ZSNES back in the early 2000s, still playing it now ;3
this is a great game~ and your great work is amazing
Thank you!
Impossible how good you nailed that intro synth 👀
That took A LOT of work to get to sound right >w>';
Thanks btw!
Tallgeese please :)
also, great cover; nice to see more people covering from this game too lmao
We'll see about that...
Mercerius Vayeate and Deathscythe too!

Wahou, this is enormous ..
Very cool.
Thank you very much ^^
Better than the SNES version! lol
I'll bet you're only saying that because it's on the PCE
SNES version = samey and weak. Your cover = strong and ballsy
