@@eavyeavy2864Lopetegui boasts the best win percentage of any Wolves manager in Premier League history.
He became the first coach to take Sevilla into the Champions League three seasons in a row. He achieved it by making them a much more fluent passing side
His ideas are influenced by Cruyff and he said it himself many times.
People like to point to his style of play at wolves but that only showed he could adjust to what was there. They were fighting for survival exactly not the time to play attractive football.
Overall he's good. He can give West Ham fans what they want which is play expansive football. Something Moyes simply couldn't do even if he tried.

Moyes deserves credit as we did win the Europa Conference League, I won't forget that. But I don't get a season ticket to watch us sit back and defend all game, and then loose most of them in the second half of this season as well.

  • @gavinthurston1239
    @gavinthurston1239 17 днів тому

    Good points from Andy Brassell.
You put up with 25% possession, and constant pressure on your defence, week in week out if you're winning games. Since December the results have not been there. We've been shipping goals like Conservative local government seats, getting hit for five on multiple occasions, and look completely out of ideas.
Like Mr Brassell says...if you watched us every week you wouldn't be saying "He's our most successful manager," and putting up with defensive starting elevens against th likes of Burnley, Sheffield United and Bournemouth (when they weren't playing well).
I'm very grateful to David Moyes for ending 43 years of pain. I was in Prague, in the fan park, in floods of tears when we won it. But it was time for DM to move on and, now it's been announced, the boy and I will be belting his name out from the stands on Saturday. Have even adapted a chant, to the tune of the Four Seasons classic, we were singing back in June last year: -
OH WHAT A NIGHT! 7TH OF JUNE 2023! WHEN WEST HAM WON THE CONFERENCE LEAGUE! THANK YOU MOYESIE...WHAT A NIGHT!
I don't like the way some West Ham fans have been throwing vitriol in Moyes' direction...it's not warranted but it's not all West Ham fans. You just get to hear their opinions more because they shout louder and various shows, including TalkSport, put them on air when they phone in tbecause it adds to the debate. Most of us are extremely grateful for what he's done for the club.
Enough of this "Stay In Your Lane, Little West Ham" from the likes of Goldstein, White, Jordan, Stelling, O'Hara and others acoross TS & the media. It's concescending and patronising. And quit all the "There's no such thing as a West Ham Way," bull...when I was growing up in the '70's and '80's West Ham were known for enterprsing, entertaining football...by fans of other clubs as well as our own. From Fenton & Allison in the '50's through the decades we became the 'Academy Of Football' for a reason...so the history is there for all to see.
What do we expect they ask? We expect to be progressing and not going backwards!
    IRONS! ⚒

Lopetegui is a competant manager, but...
    His play style is boring
He had no relationship with the fans
    He was always a misery
    He was always complaining
He said he wasn't financially backed - while everyone forgets he was given a blank check in the January transfer window
The way he treated some of the wolves players was appauling - some of which are now playing the best football of their careers under O'Neil

    All west ham fans
If you look closely at the energy within lopetegu, you will realise he has the same energy as moyes i.e. the dull, boring, washed up, weak, cant be bothered energy. Exactly the same energy as moyes.
In fact look at the skin on his face, same tired washed up delusional look look as moyes. You can almost mistake his energy as being moyes energy.
So iam afraid its a huge mistake appointing him.
He will be the 2nd comjng of moyes, and will ruin us.
He will continue the boring football of moyes, the very reason why we want moyes out in the first place. He will continue that .
We will struggle to break top ten let alone play in europe.
Its going to be a huge step backwards for the club.
After the uecl win we should be aiming to move forward and upwards and. aiming to win silverware. Not going backwards.
Under lopetgu we will struggle to do this . Iam telling you now. Its going to be a waste of two seasons under him, getting nowhere.
We dont need this right now, all the hard work to become a world class club we put in last few seasons will be undone.
How much longer do we fans need to suffer ,? When will we ever finish top 4 and play in champions league ?
We need a better manager than this. A world class manager.
It will just be another two seasons of moyes ball all over again. In which case we might as well keep moyes
WE FANS NEED TO SPEAK UP AND PROTEST, STOP THIS MANAGER COMING IN.
before its too late. He aint going to be good for us at all. And historically mostly british managers suit our club and do well for us.
Even kevin nolan as manager would do a better job than him.
COME ON FELLAS, SPEAK UP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE, AND LET THE BOARD KNOW OUR FEELINGS.
i dont want another two seasons of boring football and torture, and living in hope , not getting anywhere or winning anything.
We long suffering fans deserve better.

Come on geez.....we've won 3 league games this year,we've conceded 70 goals already, we've been smashed by Palace,Fulham,Arsenal, Chelsea,Liverpool and knocked out the cup by Bristol City.
We were shocking in the league last season, only safe a month before the end of the season and that was with Declan Rice (who Moyes totally embarrassed himself with his comments after the Chelsea game about him) throw in the fact that he never promotes quality youngsters that we've got at the club, treats senior seasoned pros there terribly, can't get a tune out of any decant striker we've had at the club, has decimated our squad this January and bought in the Yorkshire Pudding Phillips who pound for pound has to go down as one of the worst signings in West Hams history, has destroyed players like Benrahma,Fornals,Haller even Paqueta and to that extent Jwp as well by being played out of position.
His tactics and vision of the game are so outdated, mind numbingly boring to watch and so easy to play against.
Has no plan B or any idea to change things up at all.
Has created one of the oldest smallest squads in the Prem that looks shot to pieces, believe me all those players will be so glad for Moyes to leave so the hand brake can be taken off....
Yes we will acknowledge the job Moyes has done for us,keeping us up and winning the 3rd tier European trophy( where let's be brutally honest here we were one of the favourites too and didn't play any team of a decant standard till the semi-final) but his time is way up,he shouldve left at the end of last season with his head high and proud of his achievements with us.
Be excited for our future though cos believe me it is going to be so much more positive there next season...

3 wins in 2024, have let in 22 goals in the last 4 London derby's, let in 70 goals this season and play unbelievably depressing football after spend over £450m.
      Thats whats wrong.

There's no such thing as "the westham way". Maybe they played good from the 70's to the Redknapp era, but from wat I've seen in the last 24yrs, they have never really had a style.

That's what happens when you have a little idiot for an owner. There has been no cohesive plan just whichever manager was currently out of a job no matter what style of football they like to play.

Most people are clueless about what the "West Ham Way" is, and I'm referring to people on both sides of the argument. It originates from the 1950s when manager Ted Fenton set up a system of bringing through young talent and teaching them tactics and discussing burgeoning foreign tactical philosophies and their application to West Ham. In essense, despite these players youth they were extremely tactically aware at a young age and embraced new and innovative ideas in football that weren't the norm. Malcolm Allison being one of the most famous proponents in taking these philosophies forward. The players would discuss this after training at a cafe and it's around this time we became known as the "Academy of Football" for our regularity in bringing through talented young footballers. I'll agree that those days are long gone, but some fans (myself included) dream of a day it can return. I find it sad that fans of other clubs talk about it with such authority when they have no clue about the history of the club.

I can't wait for Moyes to leave not because i want him out but because i want them to plummet down the table so we can all laugh

West Ham are plummeting down the table. Only Sheffield have worse record in 2024.

That’s not going to happen , he would have to be a very bad manager , moyes has only won 2 games from 24 , only Sheffield united have conceded less goals , last season West Ham finished with 40 points , it was a season long relegation battle and I’m sure if there was another 10 games to go this season it would be another relegation battle , so I’m sure the club you support will be straight on the phone to moyes when he leaves
