Just got the XR 150 last week. Love it
There's a big difference on seat height from xr150l to crf450l . Im only 5"6' , so I preferred xr150l. And that's what I have now. 😊
You don’t ride a bike with your feet off the pegs, a lower seat height is only comfortable when you aren’t actually using the bike
The 300 L makes a version for shorter riders

We bought 2 - my son purchased one for on campus and my wife wanted one as well. We have a horse farm- we have a bunch of small CRFs (100,125s) and Honda 4 wheelers for play…they seem to love the XR 150s.
I live in the jungle of Peru and de xr150 are very popular bikes here. Simple but reliable bikes, very low maintenance.

@@firstinlastout At the time I spent about $6500 brand new but they have gone up a bit now. You could ride it at that height but I would recommend some bar risers. If your heavier than 210 lbs, I would recommend a larger bike, though

@@joecamel6835not really. Only if you’re nervous about working on dirt bikes it is. Just valve checks every 1800 which are easy. The engine itself will go to 19,000 miles before needing to be torn into.
Honestly I’ve always been a Honda lover. A fat 8hp Honda motor can get a go kart humming down tracks. The old fourtrax could run for years and take a beating. Since the age of 11ish, I have dreamed about owning a 400EX lol. Never owned an ATV but rides plenty. I used to buy the old 4 wheeler magazines back in the 90s and draw the ATVs I loved. I want a YZ450, A 1996 Banshee, a 500 quadzilla, a 400ex and I want my old 1984 Honda 125 Aero scooter. Comfy double seats, foot pegs for back passengers. Turn signals, speedometer, key start, license plate holder. It was a dream. Paid $50 for the beauty in a old barn and restored the carburetor. Had a lot of fun until you hit 55mph and those tiny shopping cart wheels start shaking 🤣
Old Honda fan here too! Been riding an old street legal XR 400 for years. Height and power perfect for me. But at 58, with a pacemaker, it’s time to get something with electric start. Been looking at the 450, waiting for a good price on a used one.

I’m stuck between getting a Navi and a XR150. I would do a Grom but they’ve all been through hell, and idk if anyone would trade a decent condition low cc bike for a 1964 Chevrolet Corvair🤷🏻♂️ only reason I’m getting one is because insurance costs me 350 a month on my truck (I’m 16 and that’s liability coverage on my 1995 Nissan Hardbody with 309k miles) and driving school is 400, plus the fact my dad doesn’t want me on his insurance.

Here in Brazil Honda stopped using the 150 engine, now it is 160 without the durability of the old 150

@@marcioduarte4558 here in the Philipines we consider the 150cc SOHC engine XR and TMX Supremo inferior from the old OHV 155cc of TMX Asero, well 125cc is still on sale though. 160cc 4v they put on scooter? More inferior cannot take abuse and need to be serviced on time more.
@@ElCachorro97 , The motorcycles sold here with these 160cc engines have several problems with the head, cylinder and piston. They are Honda plastic engines, but the 150cc ones are very good

If you're going for an actual 450 dirt bike that's street legal get a KTM 450 EXC, I had a CRF250L and it was the heaviest and most underpowered piece of shit I've ever ridden. Just my 2 cents though. Maybe test ride a few first
