Absolutely fantastic! She shows good taste in the arrangement; regardless of her beautiful instrument Kelly doesn't over-sing the melody and the band couldn't be better.
Cannot get over how amazing Kelly is - but just listen to her music and you'll know. She can sing any genre of music. Her performance @ the Grammys was a perfect example.
For those that think this song can't have a faster tempo, apparently never heard the 1958 Elvis Presley version with the Jordanairres! Love her version! She could sing the phone book well!
If anyone wants to hear the actual way Hank wanted this song, listen to the 1952 Hank "Demo" of this song. Then you understand the PAIN that is meant to be in the song. Of course by the time they hit the studio and the "PRODUCERS" got done making it more marketable, it ended up with more of that twangy, hillbilly, country upbeat rhythm. Which just killed it. GREAT song regardless, but like to hear the pain and loneliness in the original demo. Just one hillbillies opinion. She did good though, if you want to 2 step your blues away!!!
This Texas girl is as sweet as can be, and so talented she can do anything, but man, this is awful. I didn't care for Elvis version much, and I love Elvis, but this is so bad. Big band, pop production... Hank would have hated it.
I love love love Kelly. She is super talented. Her voice is great. But this just isn't doing it for me. I thought she would do good singing country, but this just isn't good IMO.
We definitely need a Country Album by Kelly! ❤️
Great stuff.

The beginning was good.... But this isn't supposed to be a really upbeat song....
