I’m from the Mustang High School Marching Band and from what I’ve heard from my band mates, we could’ve made it into finals if it wasn’t for some dumb trumpet that played a note while we were walking to our warm-up area.
Nah because i was about screaming when they gave mason fourth place, it's our second highest grand nats finals. WE WERE SCREAMING WHEN WE GOT GENERAL AFFECT AND 2ND PLACE, BEATING AVON!!!!
coming from someone from southlake i have mixed feeling about our salute, it’s cool that they come from coreo in the show but they’re also just so over the top sometimes. Also YAY finals first time at nats
@@sword7605 Yeah any ties in BOA is decided with who ever has the higher GE. I think that happened in 2016(?) where Avon and Carmel tied for first, Avon got Vis and Music, but Carmel got GE and won
No one from my region even goes to grand nationals, the bands around west Tennessee either don’t have the money to, or aren’t good enough to go to Grand Nationals. Sadly.
Why dislike us because of that?! I still love Avon and Carmel, as well as other bands regardless of what they achieve. Results don’t matter when it comes to respecting and appreciating talent and achievements
In TX 6A had UIL state this year. 5A didn't compete for state this year, so they had the opportunity for grand nationals. THAT is why you don't see as many TX bands. Not all TX 5A can compete against our typical TX 6A. The ones who could, DID 😉. Edit: multiple 6A from last year were shifted down to 3 or 4A due to new campus realignment. Give the programs a year or so to ramp back up.
People need to see that this comp is so mest up I won’t say all the reasons why but number one judges should never be biased against a band because they don’t like your show writers which happend this year so one of the bands dident get in because of this one judge. And then we need to rotate this comp to other places like a supper bull. It’s not fair that it’s always in the same place and some littler bands can’t come because it’s to far so we need to move this in a rotating thing. It would let others experience it and let others see other bands that you haven’t Hurd of. As well as let the big big big bands that are close by, make them travel some times to. By the way cool video :)
okay i'm sorry but carmel's show this year was really mid, genuinely and the 1st place wasn't deserved (IT WAS ALL THE COLORGUARD STUNTS!! THAT'S IT!!)

My school is not too far from Kingsport, Tennessee and even though we have lost to them in football 10 years in a row their band always amazes me.

Only four, but three of them made finals and it was so fun being one of those three (First time at grand nats and we got 7th!!!)
