- In this video, I passed through the Cacti Hallway guarding the warp pad to the Sun Station in Outer Wilds without puncturing my suit or otherwise getting caught on a Cactus.
This is NOT the intended way to pass through the Cacti Hallway, in this loop I simply ran out of time to pass through regularly and decided to wing it.

I thought this was the intended way at first so I tried it like a dozen times until I finally succeeded (and figured it out much later lol).
Same... So many attempts. I felt so stupid once I got there late and realized they were covered

@@extremejonIt's the right path, but not at the right time. If you get there earlier, you can walk on the ash layer as it lowers. But I also did it this way lol

I like how sun station has 3 ways you can enter it.
1: ship manually
2: using the sand in the tower
3: flying over 🌵 manually
This game gives you so much freedom
hardcore option 4: no ship, spacesuit only

I mean, it's not that hard to just reach the end without dying in this way. You can land on cactuses a few times to take small breaks. But flying all the way without getting hit is very difficult
I actually did this when I first played, I only figured out the intended solution several days after beating the game.
To this day I still have no idea how you're supposed to get to the Black Hole Forge, I just parked my ship upside down lol

@@joshuasgameplays9850go to the control room on brittle hollow and flip the orb switch to raise bhf. Then go to the bhf tower on ash twin and use the pad, you will go to the ceiling where the now raised bhf is. Hope this helped

I managed to do this accidentally ONCE and never again. I only knew barely enough to understand that that building would probably take me to the sun station. I YOLOed really hard because the loop was about to end and I really wanted to get there, so I guess the adrenaline or something kicked in and I did it damageless. I know for a fact that I only managed to do it because of some anime pressure bullshit because I never managed to pull this off again lmaao
Fake news, if the loop was about to end theb the sun station would have already been destroyed
How did you make it to the sun station at the end of the loop? The sun would have consumed the station by then.
@@scottsheffield6474 The supernova went off just as I finished the challenge. Never managed to warp myself there during that attempt.
@@weirdalexander8193 As you have guessed, the warp tower shuts down and there is even a report that pops up about it in the form of one of those ringy thingies
I did that perfectly and very quickly on my first try, decided it was easy and that was the way to do it and then proceeded to die a bunch of times trying to do it again when my dumb luck ran out on the next loop

This is so common, I think there is a hack to lower difficulty for first-timers.

Ik this may sound show-off-y, but I managed to do this first try, absurdly fast
Never managed to do it again, but both me and my friend watching me were like "holy shit, that just happened...!?"

Didn't actually take the teleporter cuz the station was already consumed, I was just checking out the various teleporters (I'd already done the other method of Sun Station, after way too many attempts...)

I just used sand to walk across, and when the cacti shows up from ground try to avoid than fly and it's pretty easy. Small guide for people that need
you are a holy being. You will be worshipped more centuries to come
I managed to do it first time (one hit though), then later realized how it was supposed to be done lol

There is an easier way to go through without any hit, but I don't know if this way of going through is really not intended by the devs. They were probably aware the cacti don't do enough damage to kill you even when hit a few times.
The intended way is to let the room fill w sand
Always did this cause:
1- didn't think of waiting
2- realized I could wait but waiting takes time
well you don't have to wait, the sand starts on ash twin so you'd have to wait longer for it to drain anyway

I never realized people considered this difficult. Got this my first try, while landing on the sun station manually took over 20 attempts.

Quand j'ai empêcher le projet de sablière noire de continuer je pensais avoir fini le jeu. Plusieurs mois plus tard quand le DLC est sorti, je me suis réveillé en me demandant pourquoi j'ai pas mis le générateur de distorsion dans le vaisseau Nomaï, j'ai du coup refait le jeu avant de faire le DLC 😅

I did this first try and was surprised to learn people struggled on it. maybe its because i played on keyboard.
Absolutely impossible with my controller. It's easy if the sand if still high enough though.

i agree. it's hard when you're new and not used to the jetpack controls, but i found it pretty shrimple.

Is the gravity just low enough on ash twin you can just do this without using the jetpack boost? Or do you have to wait until the sand column is above you?
tap the boost, don't hold it. this is how i (usually) make it into the sun station, since i don't like to wait for the sand to fall. gonna be honest, this isn't that hard. if you've beaten the game at least once, you should have the skills to nohit this.

You're supposed to get inside the tower while it is still full of sand and rush to the gravity lift
Get inside this tower on Ash Twin as soon as the sand has lowered down enough to reveal the door.
by the time enough sand has lowered to do this, the sun station only has like a minute before it gets swallowed by the sun. it's actually a clever way to teach you that it isn't the right way to do this
You're supposed to land directly on each cactus, repair the hole, and then jump on the next cactus.
@@ApexGale Thing is, you can't know the Sun Station has disappeared unless you're exceptionally perceptive or have actually managed to do this (and seen the receiver offline text (and understood what that meant)). I guess there's also the Hotshot option.

The best way to do this is to go as soon as possible when cactus is below sand and then run straight to the end but at end there might be a little damage to suit but this is the best way and it worked out fine every thime

I accidentally at the right place and time when I realized the sand puzzle.
Wait, this isn't the intended way? This is how I did it (although a bit faster, gravity seemed to be a bit higher than what was shown here so I had to go a little faster to avoid running out of fuel) and I just thought it was the normal way to go

Canonically, the gravity reading comes from pressure sensors in your boots. So if you don't stand on anything, they read 0.0x.

Under what circumstances is there 0 gravity here? I was trying this solution for some time but there was always something like .6x
The gravity of a place only shows when your feet are touching the ground (presumably that's just how the suit works)

Well ,ash twin has low gravity, ember twin also has gravity, and so does the sun
yeah you can see the Gravity indicator and it says 0x0 its weightless in there, it should be about 1 something fishys up with this video
Did you guys never notice that the gravity meter goes to 0 as soon as you're in the air?

Hold down RT and only press boost when you are about to hit a cactus its actually super easy

I think this has been patched or something…without the bust you cannot stay in air such a long time and you can’t no longer recharge your bust while you are using it

The boost still recharges in short bursts, vert thrusters & boosters are two different rockets
