This was the first knife I bought that cost more than $20. I never had a problem with my other knives, they cut so long as I keep them sharp. I was queasy about spending $70 on a knife when my plethora of cheaper knives have never failed me. OH MAN! The FFG VG-10 FRN Endura 4 never leaves my side. it is a bit tougher to sharpen than my 440a knives, but holds the edge sooooooo much longer. This review was pretty much what sold me! You rock nutnfancy! Keep up the awesome reviews!
Nutnfancy I am not trying to suck up,but your reviews are very imformative I like most of your philosophy's but not all of them but I still think your awesome about how you love our country and want to see the right thing done, because of you I have a Mosin nagant, spyderco endura 4,spyderco street beat, spyderco manix and spyderco persistence also lighting otf and I wouldn't have bought my first spyderco if it wasn't for you. Also I hope you and your family stay blessed and I think for your awesome reviews and awesome ideas for others stay strong sir and stay strong in faith if you're a believer God bless this nation and long live the republic keep on trucking my friend.
Thank you for your great review nutnfancy. I am a 13 year old kid and you hav introduced me to the knife community and has made me ADDiCTED to collectinf knives. I have purchsed all of the colors of the endura as well as the lonewolf design because of your review. I mostly collect spyderco due to their look, quality, and POU. I have purchased almost every knife you have reviewed. Thanks again and have a great day.
Thanks Nutnfancy, within a two week period I purchased BOTH a Delica 4 and an Endura 4. Love them both and appreciate your honest TTP (to the point) gear reviews. I've enjoyed your videos and know that at the next local gun show I'll be adding a G19 to my collection. Peace Bro, keep up the good work.
i'm not yet old enough to by a firearm. but you outstanding knife reviews have led me to by a few "this one"and i am glad to say that they are all you said they were. i watch your videos often and admire and appreciate the work you do for us. i wish there were more people like you.
I have been expecting this final version of Endura 4 for a while, after watching you review I have now decided to buy it. Thanks for your time making this video!
I've been meaning to get a Spyderco for years, and this video finally sold me. Had my eye on the Dragonfly for a while, but ended up getting the flat ground Delica. Thanks for all the videos, Nutnfancy.
just got my ffg endura today on ur reccomendations and i was not dissapointed. i hope spyderco keeps producing it, i might buy another one in the future. nice vid bro
I handled this knife at the local sporting goods store today and pretty much came to the same conclusion you did in your video. Great knife, perfect! Glad I watched the video after looking at one in person because it made me realize that I'm learning a lot from your other knife videos and I'm retaining some of it! Now when my wife tells me to stop wasting my time watching videos on youtube, I can tell her I'm "researching" and not tell a lie. Thanks again!
I've got 1 on the way! This knife has everything I want in a blade. It's main use will be an outside/woods blade. Nothing real harsh though. I'm sure I will love it. Thanks nutnfancy!
Funny, I was just going through my knife collection to change up my EDC (Which is and was for awhile an Endura 4 FFG) every blade I pulled out I compared to the Endura and put it back, to make a long story short the endura was clipped back in the pocket. It's my overall favorite knife and has no gimmicks and will fill most needs. I came back to watch this vid and instantly purchased a 2nd (picked up the waved version) #Lovethisknife
Nutn, I miss the table tops. I like the run 'n guns, but this is why I started watching you. I miss the informative reviews on products that I may be shopping for in the near future. Keep the table tops coming, and thanks for EVERYTHING that you do. Happy Memorial Day.
i love my spyderco's. Actually your review is why i bought the endura 4 (sabre w/ combo edge, the only one they had at the Lackland AFB BX). Wish i would have waited for plain edge but combo has had its uses. Picked up a new Delica 4 to replace my EDC Delica 3 about a month ago too. In boy scouts we learned a thing or two about knife quality (beat up a lot of knives in my time), and my Sypders look feel and perform well above my expectations. Keep it up dude, love your channel.
Nutn - I usually wait to watch your reviews before I go out and buy a knife but as soon as I saw your video at the shot show in las vegas I was so stoked out of my mind and went out and bought the blue FRN FFG Endura. I've been packing it for several weeks now and, in short, it is freaking awesome! I want to get a delica now. This Endura is my new favorite balde. I give it an 11 out of 10.
nutnfancy Yeah, I agree with the making me buy the review items part. I'm just about to hit 16 and this is what I'm buying. Glad you pointed me in this direction Nutn.
Help!!!!!!!!!! I already have so many that will do the job. Whatever the job is, from bushcraft, survival, tactical, EDC, gentleman's knives, cool but cheap, interesting and a few that are just plain junk and I'm too stubborn to throw away. So why do I need this one? First off, believe it or not, I still don't own a Spyderco. Nope. Not a single one. A few clones, yes. But an honest to goodness Spidey? Nope. I have found some very high value knives in the inexpensive range, and will not pay over $100 for ANY folder, period. But this is one I really would love to have. Still having a problem with letting go of $60 bones for the price of admission. But thanks for the excellent review NF. The more I hear of your reviews, the more your style has grown on me. Great job! Thanks for enabling me in my addiction. ;). This has been placed on my wish list now thanks to you. But life and economics dictate that I exercise patience for a while. My newly acquired SOG Aegis in classic Satin and Black will tide me over, but also in a heavier more value based direction, I am also edc-ing a Ganzo G711. Lightening fast manual deployment, Axis lock, G10 "H"-like G-10 scales, but with the added weight of solid SS liners. A bit of targeted skeletonizing in the liner of the Ganzo, along with a slight melting of sharp edges on G-10 and SS liners, would almost make this "value based" knife close to a 10. But I digress. The Spyderco brand is one I've intended to add for a long time, the Tenacious being a strong candidate, and presumed to be the probable first of the line, may just have been usurped by the Endura 4 FFG, due to its qualities and your expert delivery and description of same. Thanks again NF! Late arrival to your reviews, generally speaking, but a growing fan.
Nutn' I just wanted to say thanks for this review. I took your advise and bought the Endura 4 FFG in brown and it is without a doubt the best knife I have ever owned. Keep up the great work!
ordered one today. 5 dollars was the difference between the delica and the endura, so I took the bigger one. Thanks, and I gotta say table tops are my favorite videos that you do!
Nice review! Brown Delica arrives tomorrow, can't decide which color for Endura. You truly give credit where it's due, this knife is a perfect combination of Spyderco features.
FFG Endura in zdp-189 was my first real brand knife. Absolutely no complaints what so ever. Lightweight, thin, best pocket clip ever, great gimping, no blade play and WICKEDLY SHARP OUT OF BOX! I used it several times to shave myself when i found not to have a razor and that was after months of EDC and utillity use WITHOUT SHARPENING it. By the way took it apart twice to clean out all that fuzzy pocket stuff that got into it. Only hard time was putting back the lock, since the spring is hard.
@fustah FFG means full flat grind and refers to the blade grind. FRN mean fiberglass-reinforced nylon and refers to the handle scales. You can have both on the same knife as with the endura here reviewed. you can find them on amazon.
dude...thanks to you i have a drawer full of new knives.lol. freakin great reviews! i am in my fifties, with military history. your vids are terrific. just ordered my endura 4 from the cutlery shop. free shipping thanks to you. i'll add this one to my other ten spyderco's. p.s. all i had to see on-line at the cutlery shop was made in SEKI CITY, JAPAN. WOW!!! thanks again nutn.
I am thinking of getting one of these. It looks like it would make a good food knife. The wide blade would be good for spreading stuff. The longer blade would facilitate getting to the bottom of a peanut butter jar. The longer blade would also facilitate cutting things like sandwiches. I also like the fact that they come in purple. Admittedly I also want a carry a larger knife because I can. Oddly enough, in California there are no blade length restrictions on folding knives. I could legally carry concealed a spring assist with a 6 inch blade if I wanted too.
Thanks Nutnfancy, I ordered my first 'real' knife yesterday - happened to be this exact one thanks to your review, hope I won't be disappointed, I'm kinda choosy but oh well, there's too many knives on the market to choose one definite #1. Wanted to go for Emerson CQC7 but it's currently back-ordered by knifecenter, shame. Well, again, thanks for making those videos man, keep up the good work and greetings from Poland!
nutnfancy I've had my Endura for more than a year now, I've thumped on it pretty well, and I've got a tiny bit of vertical play in the blade. Nothing serious, but it still makes me a little nervous about the lockup.
The delica 4 is on the way! Watched this video and clicked the buy button on an Orange ffg del4. Can't wait! Not the first time this has happend on your channel... I also sprung on the para2. And got a couple of tenacious sprint runs, and a persistance in blue g10 for the girlfriend. Keep this channel going man, Im hooked.
@fustah FFG stands for Full Flat Grind (as in your blade grind) and FRN stands for Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon and it is used in the Endura's handles. So they really aren't comparable, but I think you might've confused the acronyms. Hope this helps, take care dude.
This is the first Spyderco about which I am immediately excited. For some reason the Spyderos have never really appealled to me, but this one really does. Sweet-looking blade!
purplemutantas I have the orange one, the only thing I don't like is the black clip. I will either remove it or buy a clean one from Spyderco if I can (I think the Byrd series has the same clip non-blackened).
Someone buy Nutnfancy a HD camera for Christmas! I would if I could afford it! Watching the project and TT reviews in 1080p (or even 720p for that matter) would ROCK! HD MORE!
Nutn, big fan of the Endura 4 FFG, I'm in a rural situation where I'm using this knife as a utility knife on a daily basis, I just shot a video showing some lockback failures, after some abuse, maybe you'd be interested...still love the knife, the weight man, the value! Zero rust problems either. Years later still a home run.
Also, would love to hear some stories of lockup failures after hard use. Maybe you can tell me where to go in your next comments video if you'd covered this already in one of your many many vids. Cheers
I finally got one of these after thinking about it for way too long. I got two FFG Delica's soon after these reviews came out, and they are very good for EDC. This one is a bit big for my regular EDC, however in the bush it will get used for sure. Mine needed major pivot adjustment as it was difficult to open with two hands as it came. Easy fix, but what if a buyer does not have the TORX tools? Really the knife should be good to go out of the box.
I've always had a really baseless prejudice against Spyderco blades for some reason, but i'm forcing my self to get over it and get one of these Enduras for a camp knife this summer. Thanks Nutn' for this review that finally pushed me over the edge!
Great review, as always. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't quite bring the color out. I got the blue version, it's a lot brighter and more turquoise than in the video.
i hope Spyderco gives you a commission. I just bought the blue one! Still love my Rescue 79mm, which was my daily boatyard beater for years. Thumbs up for Spyderco quality!
After years of use and dozens of knives, i have to say the Endura & Delica FFG are perhaps the best value folders imho. The weight, ergos, steel, moderate strength lock and design are all near perfect. As long as you don't need Triad lock strength or Axis (or Compression,) lock speed, these sre the knives to start with, and likely all you ever will need. I'd still like to see the tang covered when folded, and a 50/50 choil, add a wire loopover clip for a most perfect design. And if you live/work in wet areas, grab a Salt for a worry free Spydie.
Hi, i got to say it. We have a CONQUEROR of our beloved enduras. Now we have COLD STEEL BROKEN SKULL - 4", 3.1 oz, CTS XHP, tri-ad lock and FFG :D :D :D
After carrying both the Delica and Endura FFG, the Endura is plenty light enough to carry as a EDC blade, if the size doesn't bother you in pocket the extra size can come in handy as just-in-case insurance. Plus with the FFG the blade tip is plenty sharp and thin to easily use in delicate tasks. I typically don't like to carry a blade that is 3+ inches as an EDC but I find myself picking the Endura FFG over the Delica FFG as my EDC blade daily.
@knifeguy98 it stands for Philosophy of Use. Its an original term Nutn came up with to explain his thoughts on how he uses or recommends using, an item since different knives/guns/gear are meant to do different jobs. He also uses it as a way to put good thought into how we intend to use guns, knives, gear etc. and how we intend to integrate them into our larger systems like everyday carry system, tactical system, backpacking system etc. Hope it helps.
Would you say this is an upgrade from a skyline I've had mine for about two years and the blade seems small and I'm honestly tired of carrying it and would like to mix it up
Nutn, you sold me. I just ordered an Endura4 FFG in blue. It was a tough decision between this and the Delica but for an EDC that may have to become a line of defense I would like to have the extra blade length. I am switching from my Kershaw Breakout Auto due to a bent blade tip. :-(
I had a Spydie once, now it's lost somewhere, lol never to be found, GREAT blades, in fact , planning on getting another! It was a Carbon Fiber liner lock
i want one so bad! except since it is difficult to take apart and reassemble how is cleaning on these knives? i would hate to get a bunch of grit in there and not be able to get it out
I have a dilemma at the moment I can only justify getting one endure but I can't decide between blue grey/silver or purple? Real quick nutn what size zip tie do you use for your zip tie mods and is it as simple as it seems?
hey nutn i just ordered the tenacious and spent 40 including shipping from amazon which is kinda pricey but decent for the knife! and i didnt see this knife first other wise i would have bought this one instead should i buy this one or wait untill i use up the tenacious in which will be here in 2 weeks. and what do you recommend? im usually cheap with knifes but i loved ur reviews and the first one i saw was the tenacious and right away ordered it!
i have two endura ffgs and a delica ffg and all have slight up and down play, which really pissed me off due to their price. However, if you're not going to use it defensively, then i don't see any problem.
Nutn you have to try the Byrd Cara Cara 2 knife it''s FFG 8CR13MOV,the liners are identical to the Endura 4 FFG,good jimping, the texturing is equally tractionable to the Endura 4 FFG,weigh only 3.5 oz and it's only 20.00!!!
downside if your working in the yard (like pruning trees) and moving through brush the clip can catch and actually slide out of your pocket. So they can be lost fairly easy if not paying close attention.
This was the first knife I bought that cost more than $20. I never had a problem with my other knives, they cut so long as I keep them sharp. I was queasy about spending $70 on a knife when my plethora of cheaper knives have never failed me. OH MAN! Just bought an Endura 4 FFG for my first flip knife I've ever bought based on this review. Thanks for what you guys do Nutn and Veri
I finally bought a Spyderco Endura. I'm very happy with my choice.
Thank you for your great review nutnfancy. I am a 13 year old kid and you hav introduced me to the knife community and has made me ADDiCTED to collectinf knives. I have been expecting this final version of Endura 4 for a while, after watching you review I have now decided to buy it. Thanks for your time making this video!
Just got mine in today, got the brown. Very nice color, shaving sharp, extremely light and solid. Love it so far

Dude I just got a endura ffg in blue and I'm loving it. It is going straight into my EDC. Thanks nutn for the great reviews!
I've got 1 on the way! This knife has everything I want in a blade. It's main use will be an outside/woods blade. Nothing real harsh though. I'm sure I will love it. Thanks nutnfancy!

I bought one. It's different. That's what I like about it. Gonna gift it to people i love. Thanks TNP, again.
Nutn, I miss the table tops. I like the run 'n guns, but this is why I started watching you. I miss the informative reviews on products that I may be shopping for in the near future. Keep the table tops coming, and thanks for EVERYTHING that you do. Happy Memorial Day.

Nutnfancy, you make me laugh and buy sh!t all the time. Good job
Dude you are most welcome, this is such a great night he will love it, I put a wicked edge on mine with the edge pro Apex
nutnfancy Yeah, I agree with the making me buy the review items part. I'm just about to hit 16 and this is what I'm buying. Glad you pointed me in this direction Nutn.
@360steven Thanks steven. I got a brand new computer today and you are my first "hello" on it. =) -- Veri
Just got the green one in the mail. Damn you Nutnfancy. Your informed and comprehensive reviews keep causing me to spend money!!!
I think I've found my next knife.. just love it for all the reasons Nutn' talked about.
ordered one today. 5 dollars was the difference between the delica and the endura, so I took the bigger one. Thanks, and I gotta say table tops are my favorite videos that you do!
Nice review! Brown Delica arrives tomorrow, can't decide which color for Endura. You truly give credit where it's due, this knife is a perfect combination of Spyderco features.
i JUST bought my endura 4 with a black handle and sabre ground blade, its perfect for wood carving and other things!
Just bought one. And I just cut my knuckle lol. Man this thing is by far the best folder I've ever owned.
Thanks for the nice and honest review nutn, really helped me decide what blade to get.
FFG Endura in zdp-189 was my first real brand knife. Absolutely no complaints what so ever. Lightweight, thin, best pocket clip ever, great gimping, no blade play and WICKEDLY SHARP OUT OF BOX! I love this knive picked up a brown one and man am I ever excited. It just feels so good in hand. FFG rocks! Keep it up! Cheers!
dude...thanks to you i have a drawer full of new knives.lol. freakin great reviews! i am in my fifties, with military history. your vids are terrific. just ordered my endura 4 from the cutlery shop. free shipping thanks to you. i'll add this one to my other ten spyderco's. p.s. all i had to see on-line at the cutlery shop was made in SEKI CITY, JAPAN. Great review. Ordered 2. Just came today. I have to admit it's a bit bigger than I expected. Still a great knife for EDC.
Endura my favorite knife of all time!!!
You sir cost me sooo much money love your reviews on all knives and backpacking gear. Just have to pick the color on my next Spyderco dang you.
Hi remember them in the late 90's they were great knives
Thanks Nutnfancy, I ordered my first 'real' knife yesterday - happened to be this exact one thanks to your review, hope I won't be disappointed, I'm kinda choosy but oh well, there's too many knives on the market to choose one definite #1. Just bought one in green. Is there anyway to get the stock scales just by themselfs? I want to have a green and a blue scale.
I've had my blue FFG for 7 months now. love it.
My purple Delica just came in yesterday. I am really digging that knife. I think next month I will have to get an Endura to carry as a food knife.

hey nutn you should also talk about how much of the knife will be hanging out of your pocket for pivot carry as well as tip-up carry
My first FFG brown endura will be here tomorrow ! Thanks nutn
Nutn, big fan of the Endura 4 FFG, I'm in a rural situation where I'm using this knife as a utility knife on a daily basis, I just shot a video showing some lockback failures, after some abuse, maybe you'd be interested...still love the knife, the weight man, the value! Just bought the blue handled one today at the same time I bought the Kershaw Leek. Both great knives!
Thanks for the great review, just got my green FFG Endura 4 and love it!
Great review, as always.
Unfortunately, the camera doesn't quite bring the color out.
I got the blue version, it's a lot brighter and more turquoise than in the video.
JUst purchased one! Can't wait for it to come in the mail
I need me a finger choil. Those finger choils are SO awesome in the sage, PM2, etc, I can't imagine not having it.
i hope Spyderco gives you a commission. I just bought the blue one! Still love my Rescue 79mm, which was my daily boatyard beater for years. Thumbs up for Spyderco quality!
I just got my Endura 4 (Saber Grind) yesterday and already I am totally head over heels.
My blue endura has a more aqua tint to it that most cameras show, still love it!
Just got mine, the Silver model, and I love it!!!!!
This knife is sick, i look like ive got mange from all the hair patches missing.
ITS SO SHARP
And beautiful with the blue handles.
And if you live/work in wet areas, grab a Salt for a worry free Spydie.
just ordered a blue preon 2 and bue endura ffg! also the s&w military and police tactical pen cant wait for em to come in!
Would it be weird to copy his knife and buy one in blue for myself I really love the look of this knife !?
Any chance Spyderco will bring back G-10 version? As a delica fan this is a great tactical knife. The FFG blade is very fast in deployment.
You can purchase g10 scales aftermarket without hurting the bank
Just bought the endura, cant wait til it gets here!
Hi, i got to say it. We have a CONQUEROR of our beloved enduras. Now we have COLD STEEL BROKEN SKULL - 4", 3.1 oz, CTS XHP, tri-ad lock and FFG :D :D :D
That thing is fugly
Thx nutn! Great review as always! Just ordered one!!
Got this in orange! Great ergonomics and edge retention! Awesome review as well :)
I just grabbed the orange FFG Endura 4 and I couldn't believe how light it felt in hand. My new duty knife, safety orange :-)
Damn, this is only 480p, but it's some of the best 480p I've ever seen.
Awesome knives,the green is and blue are what I'd rock...gotta get one...or two..maybe three,four or 12....
Man these knives are awesome! Just ordered one in brown for $52 on Amazon! With free shipping!
i want one so bad! except since it is difficult to take apart and reassemble how is cleaning on these knives? i would hate to get a bunch of grit in there and not be able to get it out
The Nutnfancy Project. TNPers are viewers, followers, and there are a few who are even lucky enough to participate in this project.
Cool vid! Can't decide between gray and green.
Great vid. Do the new endura's have phosfor bronze bushings??
Great videos man. Just wondering where the best place to order one of these online is? Any help would be great.
Fancy....just got this knife in orange!! Awesome freaking knife!!! I'm using it for everything!! Love the feel, blade.
I got a Grey Endura FFG. It's way faster opening than my Endura 4. Now I have to get the Delica FFG in Grey. will the wish list ever end.
deciding between the endura and delica... looking for edc stuff and also for outdoor stuff... thoughts?
Tough call. For dressing small game & fish I like having my endura. Then again the delica is great for cutting in tight places.
+shatteredcortex thanks I think I'm gonna go with the endura
+Jacob Scotti You will love it. I bought mine 2 years ago and still use it with pride despite many other great blades in my collection.
Got my Endura 4 FFG today. I love it.
Wow! I never thought Nutnfancy would sell out. I guess I was wrong.
downside if your working in the yard (like pruning trees) and moving through brush the clip can catch and actually slide out of your pocket. So they can be lost fairly easy if not paying close attention.
Is "tatical" the same as "tactical"
Which knife would you recommend for a EDC blade, the Spydeco tenacious or the Kershaw skyline?
thanks, great review! ~Steven
