the lighting engine in reforger really irons out all of the typical arma3 jank youd see with custom heavily modded scenarios like this. I also think that being able to wear different specific articles of clothing will go a long way in making cooler looking insurgents/irregular forces
Totally agree! The lighting helps so much. Custom clothing is still really janky, but the modders in this game put in a crazy amount of work to make it special
Recently been searching for a game that reminds me of arma 3. Like an itch. I tried squads but the combat and movement didnt do it for me. I tried hell let loose but wasnt attracted to it. I played foxhole and other shooter games til recently i got arma reforger. People say its buggy but its the groundworks for arma 4 and i honestly enjoy every moment and encounter in the game. It scratches that itch lol
Luckily the server does have quite a few rules in regard to clothing! With that being said, some factions are definitely much easier to spot than others
when this game is finished/arma 5 the next altis life will be insane. or the fallout mod might be the better one, who knows where the future will lead us but my god this engine is ARMAZING!

Cut off from command and control, troops in the Boneyard are easy prey for raiders and thugs looking to take advantage of the situation and carve out their own territory. Meanwhile checkpoints outside the Boneyard-Shady-Sands area are trying to regroup with returning Mojave troops to regain control of the situation and attempt to prevent the chaos from spreading any further north at minimum. There are enough troops to hold the lines, but not enough to regain control to the south, nor continue to secure the Mojave - and after the war with Caesar's Legion, which has left the Republic's standing military already weakened, even after the decisive victory at the Second Battle of Hoover Dam that completely broke the Legion's back and its spirit seven years prior... there won't be enough forces to restore law and order in Southern California for years to come, even as NCR high command rushes to regroup, further hampered by active Brotherhood of Steel interference as the chapter's forces move in swiftly from Maxson, under the radical command of Elder Quintus. All the while, the Mojave is left to fend for itself...
