Englishtown was constructed with a very large distance between the grandstands. That allowed a wide, slightly raised strip surface with no adjacent guardrails and around 25 feet of grass to the side before hitting anything. The flea market in the pits with on-track car show came later.

I worked the motocross track for 16 years at raceway Park! Got free tickets to the Nationals every year! Jet car Nationals were the best!
