A 1984 segment from the short-lived talk show, hosted by the late Alan Thicke and featuring a difference of opinion between guests Wally George and Gloria Allred.
I never knew Alan Thicke had a talk show. I was reading about a musical artist and it stated that the artist performed on this show. And I decided to look it up. You learn something everyday!
Thick of The Night was a lot of late-night fun, besides Johnny Carson, I miss that kind of late-night, unlike the garbage they try to pass as late-night shows today, those old late shows will never be replicated!
Rest in peace Alan. Gloria Allred still around today, albeit mostly just in celebrity trials. This whole argument is a great example of what has gone on to coarsen debate and politics in general.
The Woman with the long earrings speaking on the mic I bet she is still single to date just because Gloria made her hate men! Gloria Allred is a witch!
It's funny looking back at these days and how they talk then now when they're asked about women's rights or anything women topic were told there's no such thing as a woman
This whole thing looked staged. Gloria Allred was an accomplished attorney. You can see she schooled him with alimony statistics. These days, it's conservatives citing statistics and Progressives airing why their feelings should justifying new laws. Those were different times then. You can tell she's not even taking Wally George seriously. George had always been in show business and his KDOC talk show was pure schlock. He had to know he was out of her league. He would never host someone like her on his show for fear of getting embarassed.. His daughter, Rebecca De Mornay, probably laughed her ass off watching this.
By about 3-4 minutes in you can tell Wally is on the ropes and he knows it. resorting to "insults": "She's trying to turn women into men." For instance. It's a classic debate tactic that never works, you got nothing so you try to discredit your opponent.
Both of them are playing to the audience I love it!!
R.I.P. Alan Thicke and Wally George
Wally Wally Wally

Man, I’m trying to find the Sister Sledge episode. It was such a great episode and glad I saw it in real time but would love to see it again
Wally, may the Good Lord shine on you, Miss you brother. 👍💪

Rest in peace Alan.

Gloria is a dude. Look at her neck when she talks. Nasty!
the 80s was a wild time
OMG Wally is a RIOT! How have I never heard of this guy before now??
He was huge here in Southern California back in the 80s and 90s. He was the OG conservative before Rush.
@@LAFan heavily influenced Morton Downey Jr. He was very over the top, his shows are a riot.
Wally was the best and I still watch Hot Seat reruns🏆🏆🏆
"Wally~Wally~Wally"...channel 56 (KDOC) Anaheim, California...F Allred...
Wow, Gloria was young
5:21 Wally with a zinger!
🤣
This show was smarter than Carson. I'd have to see some comedy segments too.
Gloria was a guest on Morton Downey on occasion.
“ little chick-a-Dee”…. The roaring 20’s lives!
Wally george was right about alimony.
It's definitely a huge flaw he pointed out. I wouldn't doubt there have been individuals who've taken advantage of that.
It's funny looking back at these days and how they talk then now when they're asked about women's rights or anything women topic were told there's no such thing as a woman
Alimony was rare.
wally looks like Ted Knight
Women want equal rights then want support.
sounds like Wally is speaking from experience
Gloria Allred was hot.
Not really.
Hot as a eskimos nuts in December
You have bad Taste.
Love Gloria in the white tights

Yeah, Wally was mostly gimmick.
But you should know that his daughter hated his guts.
@@Rjensen2 That's why I said she'd be laughing her ass off. She'd be laughing at him, not with him.
Really? You buy that Alimony only gets fished out in 7% of divorce cases at the time? 😂
I CAN'T believe the filth coming out of that man. This was on TV???? WOW we've come a long way. Thank GOD!!!
A long way? If you mean feminism and liberalism has completely destroyed the family unit in America then you are absolutely correct
No Gloria is a woman 🤣
4:41..lovely Chicago Italiana gives Ole Wally a wallop!!!...
Haha yeah good ol Wally, RIP
