I mean it's not too bad to create a blinking animation. I used to resize everything but the pupil for a quick blinking animation once. It's not even too bad to create one by drawing it frame by frame. If you know the timing of the animation you can pretty much spread out less frames instead of doing a lot of frames for the blinking. It's difficult though if you want to integrate every single part of your artwork into animation. That takes a ton of time.
Ever since I came across this, I just keep finding myself coming back to it... it's just too good to pass up. It is r e a l l y nice, and the art is bloody cool too! Really nicely done remix of this already good theme.
