Commenting on my wife's account. In the drought I went down from Coloul/Hollow Rock and out at Coorongooba to cross Wollemi for a massive car swap on a club trip. It's amazing to see how the flood has transformed the River with all the smashed trees. Otherwise beautiful country - my favorite was from Dingo to Gospers creek on the Capertee, amazing cliffs and (relatively) easy walking.
Hi Rob, thanks for the kind words. Yes the quicksand always gets you in the end haha. Sounds like you've had your own fair share of adventures in quicksand :-)
Epic trip. Can’t wait to do it myself. It is such a lovely area and I agree the variation in wildlife in that area is amazing with different birds taking up different areas. How do you go about using songs like Disappear and Licensing requirement? Thanks for taking us along
Hi again Alex. Thanks for your great comments & loving your videos also. Was really nice to relive the Colo river in your video & see some familiar areas. Re the copyright...most artists permit the use of their music on youtube. If the channel was to make any revenue from adverts, they get commission. When you upload a video it will flag any copyright content & advise if it will affect your video or not & confirm no copyright strike. The big youtube channels would mainly use royalty free music to avoid the loss of any revenue more than risking a copyright strike but we don't make videos with a view to making revenue. Just love making the videos to share but more importantly for us to enjoy in years to come & relive the memories.
I was at the Wheeny Creek Upoer Colo Reserve on a friends property and had no time to visit Wollemi National Park and Colo River . Your video is really good . I hope to do your hike one day .
It's an awesome area to visit. Definitely recommend doing this walk if you can but make sure it's with someone & not on your own for safety. It's quite rugged & the Capertee is much easier than the Wolgan. Wolgan nearly broke us hahah.
Hi Chris, thanks for watching. Yes quicksand is always one of the joys of a river hike. Thankfully it only swallows you up to knee high haha. I note you have your own channel with some interesting topics I will be checking out 🙂
Music is a bit loud to keep up the peaceful ambience. But pleasant enough style for this. The spot you said was your favourite the trees are water gums. Tristaniopsis lauriana

Definitely a stunning area & one place we'll revisit so thanks for the tip regarding Dingo to Gosper. Will definitely check that out in the future.
I remember reading a bushwalking guide book around 1970. This walk was described as "Good for all round muscular development".
Hahah, muscular development is one way to describe it. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy more of our vids :-)
great country
Hi Roy, yes it is beautiful country. Thanks for watching & hope you enjoy more of our adventures 👍. Cheers Sonia
Good video. Captured some great scenery. It's good to see others experience the quicksand as well. 😊
