Lolol that ending is amazing. 90% sure you make these to keep us traumatized and have an already established patient base when you’re done with residency
When you realize the moral of this video is to show that all of this was a dream and there is no such thing as a good OR and he woke up in the “nightmare OR,” vid.
Actually I circulate with some great surgeons and anaesthetists. I literally had a sing along session with a surgeon which included Tay Tay last week. And plenty of laughs are had. The "cool" operating theatre does indeed exist! Although not all surgeons create that atmosphere of course.
scrubbed in to two surgeries as a med student one day, first one was the fun OR with the sweetest kindest fun people, left that OR thinking I would love to be a surgeon one day. Scrubbed into the not so fun OR next and got screamed at multiple times because I was struggling with my gloves and gown … and screamed at multiple times for getting in the way … left that OR and cried in the locker room lmao
For my nursing school clincal i was on surgical and ended up following my pt for a small bowel obstruction and I was lucky and got the cool OR, the nurses were bs'ing the anesthesiologist was chill and explained all the meds and monitoring values, the surgeon let me step up and peer into the intestines and abdominal wall and explained as he went, it was chill af.
The cool ORs exist! It's rare but they exist! The more common ORs are where the are surgeons talking to each other and ignoring everything/everyone around them.
best ORs are the ones where everyone pulls their weight and melds together into a well-oiled machine; don't even have to be all nice to each other and coddle each other, just people doing what their role are for that day with precision
I shadowed at an open heart surgery and honestly the nursing staff were so nice. I was shadowing a PA. The surgical tech showed me everything and explained a bunch of stuff to me. It was nice.
Was a member of OR staff at a teaching hospital. Staff was told by the Director that since we chose to work at a teaching hospital, we were expected to help the students. If we didn’t like it, leave. Can’t speak for the medical staff though
awesome man!, it hurts this wasnt my surgery rotation. But I know there are some good attendings out there! Future surgeons, remember to not act as a POS.
currently on surgery and mine is truly like the dream OR, you never know you might have an awesome attending. today I was helping close and my attending looked at my sutures and said loudly "someone's been practicing dude!!!!" and the entire OR cheered lmao
@@erintrolley3074 Man, you must be in a really nice program (at least I hope so!). Just know that some days aren't always great, but you will power through it!
Why can't it be like this? Do people believe that if you are kind and respectful like this during surgery people will not take it seriously enough and not develop their skills enough? Do they believe bullying will create doctors with thicker skin who will ultimately be better suited for the demands of surgery? I am curious I would love to know your thoughts thank you.
I tried not to cry at the end because I’m anaesthesia and please be gentle to me. A little chit- chat never hurts us, not only “I need a Fowler so high patient need to touch the floor” or “HE IS HAVING A HICCUPS WHAT THE FUCK”
@@skyhappy just a weird soviet tradition. About 70% of all doctors in Russia are women, not just in anesthesia. Similar thing with judges and accountants, for some reason.
I’m a patient transporter and know next to nothing ab anything you make videos on but your videos are amazing. The ending made me laugh so hard my brother called me to ask why I’m laughing so hard on the toilet. Sorry not sorry
I actually had a very cool OR team, but i was only watching not an actual student or something, people are nicer to you when you’re NOT a student/ junior doctor.

Lmaooooooo
You, sir, are the Christopher Nolan of medical UA-cam videos. Strong work.
When you realize the moral of this video is to show that all of this was a dream and there is no such thing as a good OR and he woke up in the “nightmare OR,” vid.
more like "regular OR"

That ending is so real. Falling asleep in the OR was daily struggle
Incredible ending. Never saw it coming. Had to rewatch this and the previous episodes multiple times to truly appreciate the writing/directing.
Scrub tech hyping you up for your little knots is the realest lmaoooo

Bruh they’re getting cinematic now this is beautiful 😂
The ending got me. Well played
when he got the artery correct on the first try, I should have suspected something was up 😂
In an alternate universe, I would not have been traumatized by my surgery rotation and would not be in internal medicine, but here we are.
That wake up really waked me up to reality 💀💀💀
watched the nightmare OR again before this to prime myself-- that fucking ending dude oh my god
I AM IN DISBELIEF OVER HOW GOOD THESE VIDEOS ARE. THE ENDING. START A PATREON SO I CAN PAY YOU FOR THIS GOLDEN CONTENT

This level of coddling and hand holding would be perfect for my dysfunctional self 😌💅

P. Night Shyamalan
That's what I was going to say! Did he direct this short story?!
I’m not in the medical field but that ending made me feel actually sad
Your content is incredible. Keep up the great work.
Good grief that ending got me good
woah. I was not expecting the last few seconds. wtf. you're a good writer.
This was so dystopian I was starting to get creeped out and uncomfortable until the ending came and brought me back to earth
Dude, you do such great work!
Reality is often disappointing.
I'm screaming in my apartment! This is hilarious!
My Gods! You should start your filmmaking career! The ending was so good!

i felt it. i am gonna cry now
That went from cool to nightmare
Oh man. Oh man! Can you please write a movie?
Damn genius
So relatable 🤣🤣
Oh the ending… Standing ovation 👏
What does it say that I was more worried about the patient coding in this imaginary patient than in the nightmare video.
I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THE TWIST
How are you possibly going to be able to top this?
NO WAY! I am in shambles 😭
Those throws 😭😭 why you have to tie like that 😂
