For everyone saying this story is wrong, you may want to read the written story. This may be a summarised version but the story is correct. Im saying this as someone who has heard the story hundreds of times from my grandma and mom. Also, as part of Ao subject class 9 syllabus (around 14 years back) we had one whole period of Jina and Etiben story which was narrated so beautifully by our then Ao Teacher Ma'am Narola. I didn't opt for the Ao paper yet i sat everyday listening to the story and even read through the book atleast more than ten or twenty times. This story happened in a village that is a few kms away from my native village, their hideouts or the places where they visited can still be found within the vicinity of our village land.
@@IghatiYeptho it is not given in detail in the class 10 English version but like I've said, there is a complete book with all the poems, songs and entire narrative for Class 9 Ao subject.(Was there like 14-15 years back, not sure if it's still taught)
For the ones confused between the real story and class 10 English...The nbse text about jina and etiben is kindof tribute written by Nabina das..she heard the story and wrote in the form of ballad poem in a tribute to this legendary story and the one in this video is the real story dont get confused among the two....
My favourite love folklore. I really love this story. It was in highschool when i first encountered this beautiful folkstory. My english/alternative teacher narrated this beautiful story from our lesson book and from there i fell in love with this AO folkstory ❤ thanks for sharing. Nostalgia ❤
Your channel reminds me of my grandparent’s storytelling. It’s so thoughtful for one to be so creative and preserving it for generations 💕 lots of love keep up I’m always waiting for new stories from you🙌🏻
This story is absolutely correct because my grandma has told me this story before she leave this world this story is exactly the same that my grandma have told me..... ❤
Yeah plus Jina was dating Etiben's maid 💁🏻♀️😂 he agreed to charm her only because Etiben was a beauty and what man would refuse to date a beauty if given the chance? But maybe he did fell in love with her eventually 😂
I am from Mopungchuket village and I clearly remember reading this story some years back it is written in ao that book is available in our library in Mopungchuket ❤ and moreover my grandfather and my dad always narrated me this story .. so to say this is a short narrative but the story is legit ✅
I was lucky to have visited this place. The atmosphere is truly magical there is this feel in the air thats cannot be describe one has to visit to understand. There's another say that once you visit longkhum you have to visit again as a part of you soul stays back waiting for you to take it back with you. I will be back again.

As a kid i really admired their love for eachother, i didn't know love back then but it left me a great impression. But now all my life was a lie. I thought it was too good to be true, a beautiful young rich women falling in love with a poor average guy. I thought she must be crazy but I din't doubt Etiben until now. The heck is love potion ??? 😢 After all it was the potion. So sad to see my childhood innocence crumble down with the harsh reality.
Lovely story recitation, but my heart is now broken 💔into pieces cause i will never b able to feel the love for the story the same like my parents n elders told us before.
Really, It's been cut very very short but some are misinterpreted. Etiben never feel sick and taken to his native village MOPUNGCHUKET from Mongchen village. But I really appreciate for your sincere efforts for bringing the story thus far. 👌🙏👏
So good but the only thing is the tower names has been mistaken... The first one is Jina's tower and the second one Etiben... 🥹☺️ (P.S I'm from that village)
@marxvlog9128 How you so sure this one is the madeup one?? Knowing we nagas don't ve any written records, tales differ from village to villages and from author to author.
Maturity is realising that jina-etiben is not an epic love story but of a women entangled in a web of lies perpetrated by a malicious woman and her equally malevolent partner, from where I stand Etiben is sweet sweet girl destined for happiness ( due to her social standing in those days) was manipulated and led to a treacherous fate.. in simple words; love charm deshe koa itu bandor bara, thuiiii

The fact that Jina Used a Love potion makes it a tad hard to accept it as True Love.
Exactly my thought.... Somebody could please enlighten me! I'm sure during those olden days potions were commonly practiced for many reasons.
