Thx, man! You may not know, but most of the time I don't hold the line in my hand. It tucked underneath my knee. That way I can keep my hand free and warm in winter.
Thank you, sir. I will need to think about how to adapt it to fish my local river. The Kankakee River is quite shallow. Maybe move the shock line closer to the tippet. Maybe no fly line. Tippet-shock line- backer line. Maybe. I will keep watching your channel. I'm in no hurry, it's cold here. Yesturday was -24 with wind chill. Probably try to catch some cat on this setup.
Yeah, you don't have to have the fly line at all. I drift fished for the longest time with straight mono. Yeah, it was only 19 deg. F here this morning, it's boiling hot down here.
a great detailed explanation of your setup, glad a viewer requested this video...
Yeah, I hope to expand this series.
This is awesome. Thank you.
Glad to help. I have changed the rig over the years and continue to experiment with adapting rod and reel rigs to the handline.
Your videos are helpful and full of good information. Keep it up too cold here in the midwest to handline fishing . Keep it up
