Here is some insight...My 99 year old Mother sleeps 12 hours a night. Growing up she took daily naps and as a little girl she slept in until noon on weekends. Kids would come over to play and her mother told them she was still sleeping. I think she has a lot of melatonin in her brain and this protect her from disease. Had flu 3 x in her life... I catch it yearly!! She has an incredible immune system. She had covid in January and did well. Was in hospital..got antiviral meds. I did worse from covid... But started NMN and Transreservatol after being ill 6 weeks..brain fog, fatigue. This stuff saved my life...started feeling better in 3 days after starting it. Boosted me up!!
Amazing story
Could you share where you buy your NMN from?
I agree wholeheartedly with the protocols uou are discussing. And the NIH’s research with Melatonin is astounding. It’s FAR more than a nutrient to reset sleep patterns. It’s looking like a super antioxidant like the world has never seen. It is restoring kidney function after kidneys are completely shot and death is expected momentarily - in rats. It looks like whatever has gone wrong in the body it’s fixing. They are using VERY large amounts & are injecting it. (Just research / don’t try this until human studies are done which will be awhile) So what you’re talking about makes sense to me. Thanks.
I supplement with M&Ms and all I get is a little fatter. I should switch to NMN. Your mom has the ticket. I sleep 8-9 during the work week and longer on the weekend. Nothing like a good night sleep (after the kids have grown up).
@@williamwightman8409 Hahaha made me smile
Sinclair. I listen closely to him. I have been integrating all these protocols I can find - hard science, not anecdotes - since I was 25 and in a big way, My first taste of this was when Durk Pearson & Sandy Shaw wrote Life Extension in 1982 I think. I am now 64. Now we have Sinclair. No one and I mean no one guesses me to be older than mid 40s, tops. The status of the skin is a very good barometer of organ health. I have just started law school and I need to be healthy to do things I have planned. A lot of young people imagine themselves to be sort of a different person when they are 60, 70+ because if how we observe our parents and grandparents age. It’s usually not pretty in lots of ways
You will feel about things jyst as you do now. You will want the same things then as you do now. Not having a body that can support what’s in your mind is one reason why so many older people suffer in depression. I made up my mind that a nursing home in my future was not in my cards. It’s my understanding that we are not meant to decline into long illnesses and debilitation begore we die but are meant to be pretty high functioning, in general, up to our deaths. We’re biologically programmed to keel over pretty quickly without debilitation or suffering, in general. I am confident I will make that happen. Try ADDING things to your diet rather than feeling miserable about eliminating things, to start with. Get exercise and think Resveratrol - as the first thing to add. This is only my opinion but it’s based upon hard science. I have sleep isdues though, and that’s what pulled me in. Thanks for this interview. Appreciate it!! 🙋♀️♥️
Rock Forester Can you please write out your supplement type, dose, timing routine, along with your exercise, nutrition and lifestyle habits. I’m so interested to know more about you. I’ve only been following Dr Sinclair’s protocol for a few months, along with several years of nutrition and lifestyle hacks, along with a few of my own, and the greatest improvement I’m seeing is with sleep quality and duration, which I’m in the process of tweaking. All the latest studies recommend taking NMN and Resveratrol in the evening, after 6pm, after dark, for improved sleep, yet Sinclair contradicts this, recommending it in the morning, so I’m experimenting with my own timing. If you use a sleep tracker, I’m curious to know if your sleep quality is better when you take NMN & Resveratrol in the morning, or at night.
@@rockforester7908 yea write your stack, what are you using ??
May Prof Sinclair clarify role of NMN feeding cancer cells with NAD+ for people having cancer
Yes, don't take it if you have cancer
David say something bout glynac and epithalon. All I hear is nmn and metformin...
what NAD boosters is he talking about, i'd like to find out what exactly he takes
Many people simply do not need as much sleep as others. You should find your optimal sleep amount and get that in a 24 hour period. However when I wake up in the morning I am not tired and get straight to work so obviously that’s the right amount of sleep
Yes! My optimal is 7-7.5.
What sleep mat are they referring to ?
I don't look my age. My Greatgrandma on my Dad's side lived in Cuba very healthy up to 103 almost 104. And my Grandma lived 97 strong and healthy. I take Quercetin and Fisetin and smoothies with blueberries banana, sometimes with strawberries and brussel sprouts Spirulina and chlorella powders.
a
Plus some CHIA SEED POWDER.
Matt Walker is the expert regarding sleep. It's so important!

I will. Thank you 👍 I would NEVER consider hacking my sleep!

Any research regarding sleeping on a magnetic mattress... north pole (negative) sides of magnets facing the body ?
I am 74, when I was I In Sr Management position, for 50 years I only got 4 hours per night and since retirement I now can only sleep 4 hours per night because of enlarged prostate and frequent visit to bathroom, I don’t feel tired and still do yoga meditation and couple hours of exercise daily. I think everyone different biologically and some need 8 hours and people like me can function well with 4 hours sleep
Doesn't the need to sleep more correlate to how clean one's diet is?
@@joshmeep1058 well of course diet lifestyle genes all matters but there are over 8 billion people on earth and all these export give their opinions on small sample of studies and not a gage for anybody because we all different and unique and no study ever be test all 8 billion people. Also most yogi gurus tell us if you meditate your sleep quota will lower, go figure!
When is the pod ep with Kunal Shah of the Indian startup ecosystem releasing, TKP folks/Shane? 💭🤔
Four weeks!
Do we know about the longer term side effects of taking NMN, other than harming your finances?
😂😂
Not yet!! David himself is the test site....He is keeping data on himself.
Lol! I hear you. I make sure I have resveratrol even if I can’t afford much else. And the fresh brocolli sprouts.
And the 3rd thing - NMN 💪🏾
I want to find out how to get proper sleep for at least one night. I tried CBD oil at 47 milligrams for a couple nights and I think it helped a little but I still took a long time to sleep, was up multiple times and woke up too early and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm thinking of trying a higher dose. I also used 3 grams of glycine, 500 milligrams of magnesium and 3 milligrams of melatonin but I was awake most of the night feeling jittery.
Maybe look more about how fixing your everyday life instead of playing with the chemistry set
Amazing logical info , being a chemical engineer, do you sleep your head pointing east or west (not north or south, due to blood iron going up to ur brain, making ur sleep not deep at all ..)
Huh head direction matters?? Are you being serious?
I like to relax a couple of weeks at the north pole and sleep with the head pointed straight down in the direction of the magnetic field
@@Bryce_C. ofcourse - magnetic field and iron in ur blood / if u sleep ur head pointing north - notice u never sleep good and deep
What was the sleep temperature regulation device they mentioned? "Id sleep?"
Eight Sleep, i believe
@@MrMateo36 thank you!
Glycine 10g & Magnesium Glycinate every night will help you sleep. Melatonin 2x a week is good. L-theanine somewhat helps. But NAD boosters helps tremendously.
Also apigenin n Chinese scullcap root
I take nmn it’s help me so much with energy level during the day
Just I can’t sleep fast and I wake up a lot and wake up early what to do ? I do intermittent fasting and no sugar in my diet I go for the tips of David just my sleep patterns distracted
Is David careless when recommending NMN without warning that cancar patients may avoid this supplement
Hi where can I buy these drugs metformin NRDs etc ?
Can you help
I don’t know in which country you live and your access to these supplements. You might be interested in this chanel, they usually talk about best anti-aging suplementos (brands and so on)
ua-cam.com/users/ModernHealthspan
Metformin is by prescription only, I believe, but there are online sites and doctors that will prescribe (Ageless RX). Berberine is a good herbal alternative that's fairly inexpensive. I get mine from Doublewood online.
Older people sleep more.
My parents did. Except they sleep in increments because they get tired.
This guy looks younger every time I see him lol
No
Where were the supplements for better sleep? He only talked about a very expensive bed. Otherwise clickbait title.
We will never know - mic drop. 😂
What are the hacks? A cool bed? Only? Nad in the morning? Really
You get less sleep because your hormone production slows down , not because you NEED less of it
He seems tired. I'm not sure I want to accept "sleep hacks" from somebody who seems tired.
He had awakened from sleep. Perhsps you’re not familiar with his work. This sleep discussion is jibber jabber compared with the body of work he is producing on anti aging protocols.
That's because it's nowhere near ideal and he admits it. I think all of this spotlight is making him way too busy to properly implement the things he is teaching. He just said he slept for 4 hours. I am not even 30 and 4 hours of sleep wrecks me, so if he is able to function somewhat then his hacks are probably helping.
. It’s night time in Australia mate. As he speaks with someone on the other side of the planet. Mate.
@AussieAstronaut He said he was in Boston at the time of the interview.
Yep, If your heroes are those who just came out of the plastic surgeon or did 3 months of dieting for a week's worth of pictures at the beach with 3% fat all the best🖖
See humans that has problems sleeping. They look old and total out of date.
President Trump sleeps four hours a night drinks fifteen diet cokes a day and the food he enjoys is McDonald's lol
And looks like it lol.. Thanks for the laugh and the lighter side.
@Wendy McCleary I bet you eat the standard American diet, so before making fun take a good long look at yourself in a full length mirror Wendy
It wasn't meant to be critical.. but he's obviously not in good health. I eat organic, by the way.
@Wendy McCleary I've never seen president Trump's C-peptide, A1C, fasted insulin or several other indicators. So I can't say if he's healthy or not. Thin vegetarians "look" healthy many of them aren't though. Eating organic doesn't necessarily make you healthy many other factors must be included.
