I love in the beginning of the stage, you can see the hub world leading to the Spagonian University and the flags of all the countries from Unleashed. There's also some Werehog references in Rooftop Run Act 1 also.
Oh my god, the level design of this game is outstanding... Classic stages in classic mode have the same aesthetic as the original game's stages. But the modern stages in classic mode look the same but there are some twists here and there... and I absolutely love that.
Fun fact: That massive airship is meant to pay homage to the Flying Battery. You can tell from the way it looks, what it does, and also the fact that it’s name is literally the “Eggman Flying Battery” (look it up).

...this is definitely my favorite classic sonic stage in the game. I love exploring every nook and cranny of the stage for rings, invincibility, speed sneakers, and with the different shields, shortcuts and red rings. I swear, I haven't felt like I needed like I _wanted_ to explore since adventure dx. Mania came close by I'm sorry, the timer doesn't work with me, even with removing it
I had mine on ps3 then my disc broke, I cried so much that day, I was only 8 at the time, but one day in my future I’m gonna play this again, I vow to play again one day-
When I first play this game and I was a fair bit younger i saw these aide scroller levels as poor 3D graphics instead of an exceptional modern take on aide scrolling. Almost ashamed that i diacounted the hard work
after listening to the music of this level by itself so much it feels unfitting for this level? like it doesnt feel like theres that much going on here in comparison with the Music

I think the level design is pretty good, the controls for classic feel off and the input glitches I experience on the pc version is obnoxious.

I assume you’re referring to Planet Wisp. It was definitely the longest for me. Can’t remember what main level was most difficult for me.
