    great video you right on many point but for me I don't think the language is the barrier on their caption yes but not when singing because swahili is the most speaking language in Africa and Asake sing in his language most of the time for me I think the overuse of Amapiano cost them

      I totally get your point and I agree. It's not language barrier in the music itself for me - I meant more in a general media sense. They don't have enough non-Swahili medium blogs, podcasts, radio stations etc for their entertainment industry to become a topic beyond the Swahili-speaking regions. Music alone these days is not enough. Countries like SA and Nigeria will have blogs in English detailing how celeb X bought a new house or broke up with their partner etc which helps to 'sell' what they do. The mileage in those platforms is not appreciated enough

      This is an interesting perspective because KE is a Bongo powerhouse, for a long long time now
