Sir..... Do it support call or in game voice via 3.5 mm jack???
Sir..... Do it support call or in game voice via 3.5 mm jack???
That's soo cool. I never thought that Lightning ports could support 2 way sources. Your putting something in and taking another thing out. Wow
It’s pretty cool, though a little on the expensive side.
I made a lyric video for Hold On
@@MrRadsVarietyChannel - Yeah? Awesome. Sorry, I did see that comment this morning but was already WAY overtime on the stream. Would love to see it.
@Pete Johns. Here's The Link ua-cam.com/video/b_p79cwLV1g/v-deo.html
Awesome! Thanks so much for doing that. Very cool!!
I Hi, Pete just picked up a new Artifon controller to use primarily with my I Pad pro. And having seen your first video I would love to see other videos...that may contain additional set up tutorials and how you creat music using an Artifon. A little frustrating right now with The Artifon App issues that appeared after the Os 13 update. They are diligently working on the problem and soon it will hopefully be corrected. Haven’t used the iPad app since I bought and picked it up 2 weeks ago.
Enjoy your channel keep up the great work and casual approach👍🏻.
Thank you
Gordo
Thanks my friend! Yes, planning to do a lot more with the Artiphon in the future because it is indeed a very cool instrument. Haven't tried it in iOS 13 yet actually so must do that soon - sounds like there may be issues though!
Just grabbed the adapter for my iPhone 11! Could never be so happy! No regrets
It’s awesome. Using it every day.
@@PeteJohnsMusic same
Does it work with calls
@@giancarlocamacho2067 no, so you’ll have to use your phone (when it’s connected to the adapter) for calling as usual. The adapter will only allow you to connect it to your iPhone and plug in headphones & charger your iPhone with it, that’s all 🙂
Help please? I'm hoping to achieve 3 things with the lightning port on my iPad 2nd gen: I want to 1) run a usb mic in 2) run an earbud out 3) charge the unit while all is underway. Perhaps a powered usb hub is the answer? I realize I may have to forget about the charging function, but the main goal is to make a video assisted by the mic, while also hearing myself thru the earbuds - my 2 goals being making videos and teaching students remotely. Thanks in advance for any help. You seem like the guy who can solve this dilemma for me. :)
Hey Elizabeth. So what you’re looking for here is a genuine Apple Lightning to USB 3 adapter and a USB mic which has a headphone jack. You simply attach the adapter and plug in the USB mic, then connect the Lightning port on the adapter to a power outlet or battery.
Check out this video (jump to 5:35) to see how this works. ua-cam.com/video/eGTbwR9XSHU/v-deo.html
Is this product certified by apple? Im asking, because, ive had a belkin charging cable in the past for my iphone (i think iphone 6s or 7) and i got a pop up saying “this accessory may not be supported” and it didn’t work anymore. Now i am very hesitant to buying products other than from the actual apple brand. Need another product to charge and listen to music at the same time, since my earpods broke..
It is certified by apple
Hi there. Yes, it is MFI (Made for iPod) certified. It's actually sold in Apple Stores and on the Apple website too, so you're be pretty safe here. I've had it for a year now and it's still working perfectly.
Pete Johns Ah perfect, thanks! I will purchase one 😁👌🏼
Did you get a new camera recently? The quality looks great outside!
Hey Max. Been using my iPhone XS and shooting in 4K, 60fps. Very impressed with the results!
Ohhhhh *Belkin
We have some surge protectors that are Belkin
The notification for this was like lol what 😂
“Bellin” maybe that could be a song of some kind
Yeah, perhaps someone somehow changed his upload defaults to “public” without realising it. Oops!! Now to scramble and actually write my description and make a thumbnail. 😀
I shall blame daylight saving time again. 😁
Hello, I'm a gamer, with this adapter I can hear the sound of the game and communicate with the team at the same time?
Yes, it supports any headset with audio and mic just like a standard TRRS headphone jack.
@@PeteJohnsMusic how long does it last
It has microphone ability? I mean handsfree microphone works on it? Am gonna use it for gaming so on this mic works? Tell me plz pete Johns
Hi there. Yes, this creates a TRRS jack which works with headphones and mic.
Hey pete have you seen a glitch or something in garageband IOS 13 that makes literally anything now almost impossible to play. When ever i play some instruments, sometimes there pops up a random small window out of nowhere and well, it has multiple things like cut, clone, reverse, forward... its kinda annoying when it happens it stops always whatever instrument im playing. This is very hard to explain but get it once you try yourself. Usually happens when you are playing very fast. Usually happens when i play smart guitar (since i like making fast and complicated riffs with it)
Hey there. So yes, there was an issue like this is the first release of iOS 13 however it does seem to have been fixed now in the Kate’s release (13.1.2). The issue was when you taped with three fingers at once it would bring up the copy/paste edit window. That seems to have been removed now for apps like GarageBand.
If you’re still having issues with the latest versions, let me know and I’ll look in to it more.
Pete Johns yes exactly that. I checked and yes, im using the latest one and its still a big problem and really i cant do anything too complicated like before... you should look into it.
Pete Johns a little update: i just tried garageband and some of the logos and stuff looked pretty different + it didnt happen when i tried to do it so i supposed it now updated. Im not sure why garagebad didnt update right away when i updated IOS.
I gonna let you know if it actually happens
Awesome. Yes, keep me posted, as I was about to make a video about the issue, but with iOS 13.1.2 and GarageBand 2.3.8, I haven't been able to make the issue happen on any of my devices, so I'm hoping it has now been successfully patched.
Hello! I just ordered and received mine today. I have an iPhone 11, and when I plugged in the headphone jack there is no audio :( the charging works but there is no sound... was wondering if you have any ideas as to why there is no sound
Hey there. Just confirming that you’re plugging in to the headphone jack and not the Lightning port? The Lightning port is only for power.
@@PeteJohnsMusic Yes! I plugged my earphones into the headphone jack but there is no sound
Hello... may i ask you.. belkin support external mic? Its like mic condenser 🙏🏻 please help
Hi there. No, the socket is just a standard TRRS 3.5mm jack so accepts headsets with mics but not a condenser.
It’s really good to use but I don’t understand why doesn’t it work will a phone call 🥺🥺 need help with it
That’s odd? Works fine for me on phone calls?
Does it support microphone at the same time? Cause I'm considering for live stream purposes
Hey there. Yes, the 3.5mm jack is a TRRS socket, meaning it will support stereo audio out and mono audio in at the same time. 👍
@@PeteJohnsMusic Thanks man! All the way from Malaysia, subscribed!

Can you attend a call while connected with 3.5 mm earphones?
Yup.
I wish Apple would make a lightning port splitter into a cover with at least 3 ports.
Would be a cool product - like the USB-C hubs and docks for iPad Pro.
Hi there. I tried connecting a lavalier mic to the headphone socket of this device but was told it wasn't picking it up and only taking the sound from my iPhone speakers. Should this product support a lavalier mic?
It will support a TRRS mic but not a standard TRS or TS. You would need a TRRS to TRS adapter.
will this audio jack work to send audio into the iphone other than a headset? Lets say any other audio source through 3.5mm jack to record audio into the phone with garagband or even the camera app?
It’s a TRRS connection so anything that uses this input. It won’t for for a stereo line in as TRRS only has one mono channel for input. ua-cam.com/video/za1-jPvjiMs/v-deo.html
in your linked video it seems it'll work with the Rode SC4? Is that right? Cause I ordered one of those earlier in the week.
Do i need to plug the charger to make the headphones work? Or can I use the headphones without the charger?
The Lightning port isn’t needed for the r headphones, it just allows you to charge at the same time.
@@PeteJohnsMusic thank you
Thank you for sharing Pete ✌🏽😎
Thanks for your support as always Leo. 🤘
Can you make phone calls and charge at the same time?
Yup.
Didn't compatible for iPhone 11?
Hi there. Yes, it is not dependent on the iOS version so will work with any lightning based iPhone or iPad.
Pete Johns thanks friend.
Does the audio quality drop on your headphones?? Please reply.
Not in my experience. It uses pretty much the same method as the standard Apple versions.
@@PeteJohnsMusic thanks for the fast reply. Ima order one right now through Amazon
I’m using mine right now! So handy to have real headphones and the ability to charge.
Can you make calls on it while it’s charging
Yup. The headphone jack functions as a Normal TRRS jack while using the charging port.
Is it is use for calling
Yes, it creates a TRRS socket which means you can use your headphones and headphone microphone using this adapter.
Pete Johns Thank you so much for replaying to everyone, hope you have a wonderful day 😊
hello i am a mobile gamer and i use astro a10 headset. i have had problems with other 3.5 mm to lighting adaptor because whenever i use mic in my headphones with that adaptor the sound comes through my speakers(basically doesnt support mic). does the belkin rockstar support mic?
Hey there. Yes, it is a full TRRS jack that supports stereo audio output and mono mic.
Does it work on 14pro max
Haven’t tried it recently but should work in any Lightning port.
Can you prefer type c + charging adapter like the mobile( oneplus etc..)
Hi there. This adapter is specifically for iOS devices with a lightning connector. There are probably similar devices for micro-USB and USB-C
My second one of these Belkin adapters failed as well. Never Belkin again.
I’ve had to replace my original one but it lasted 2+ years. Individual mileage will often vary of course.
U know why it doesn’t support mic and how to fix it?
Should support headset with a mic. Straight mics use TS plugs and woot work.
A cynic might realise why Apple did away with mini jack sockets on their newer phones! I know you've compared genuine products with impersonators before.. I've noticed that some cheaper versions of this " Do not Support calls". So maybe not trrs socket... Just wondering if you;d noticed that. Whilst I'd like the Belkin you have to shop around especially due to limited stocks during lock down... Thanks for another useful video. Like the gumtree...
Hey there. Yes, I think some are only offering a TRS jack song with the lightning socket for power. The Belkin is definitely a genuine TRRS supporting mic recording.
can i still hear my phone calls through my headset while plugging my charger and headset at the same time?
or it does not support or handle the dual way audio?
Yup. It creates a TRRS connection which supports stereo audio output and microphone input. ua-cam.com/video/za1-jPvjiMs/v-deo.html
is the wire bendable? let me know
It’s pretty thick but shortly bendable.
How many days will it lasts??
It did okay. I’ve switched back to regular ones now.
Sir is it working well or not ?
Yep, working as described! 👍
Sir is it working well now or not!???
Hi there. Yes, working just as it did when I first tested it. A handy device to have around for sure. 👍
Hi Pete does this work with the Ipad 6th Gen?
Hey there. It would, but the 6th gen iPad has a headphone jack already so I’m not sure how useful it would be?
Thanks! My headphone jack on my 6th gen broke on me. Planning to buy this one as a substitute.
Also Quick Question..... I have good earphones,Im really curious of the audio + charge rockstar affect the sound quality?
Good question. Not that I’ve noticed, however I use pretty middle of the road headphones personally. Some say the Lightning to 3.5mm conversion does impact quality but I haven’t experienced this personally.
Just got from BestBuy but unfortunately I have to return. For some reason when plugged into my car adapter it pulls power and reduces battery instead of charging. I tested it on two different adapters. Very disappointing because I love listening to music in my car through the radio as opposed to headphones. The set up is also really bulky to where I can see the life of adapter shortened simply because of all the wear and tear as it works to hold up and support the cords if you use a smartphone holder. I had 75percent when I plugged in and it dropped to 64 within about five minutes 🤔and my usb cable and car adapter work fine otherwise. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks
Super weird? Haven’t had anything like this sorry.
Nice!
👍🙏😀
Will not work with facetime or messinger
I thought it did? But haven’t used it for a while.
Does mic work on it
Yup. It is a standard TRRS jack. ua-cam.com/video/za1-jPvjiMs/v-deo.html

Can you communicate with teammates
@@rsgMANNY6007 my mic doesn’t working

A+ wind filter!
It did pretty well given the wind around today!
@@PeteJohnsMusic Wow you only filmed this today and then got it straight up! Good job! Working hard!
@@edgesamantha Haha! Yeah, it was a bit of an accidental release so early as you now know, but all's well that ends well! 😅
Your making me spend money Pete!!!
Haha! Yeah, I'm costing myself some money too for sures!
Obviously not your fault but it's absolutely ridiculous that Apple won't put an audio jack on a phone. Any arguments they give are nonsense as well, it's all about money!
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I’ve been pretty vocal about this for a while now but it seems that Apple and now other manufacturers are leaving headphone jacks behind. It’s why I’m still using an iPhone 6S and iPad Air 2 for a lot of my audio work.
@@PeteJohnsMusic yes i hate it too. Considering samsung, but really like iphone in every other aspect.
Nah. Go the way of the dodo, like the floppy drive. There is no reason to include one when 99% of users do not need one. You buy a 500-1000$ phone and do not have some BT device to listen to audio on? I do not even need one since my XR can charge vie induction, but, I may pick one up so I can charge faster and in more places.
i wish there was one that looked more natural
J. M. Yes, it’s a little clunky looking.
Try on iPhone 15 pro max
Will need a USB-C adapter for the 15s.
In belkin usb c also there try on 15 pro max and do one video I think it’s gonna reach
Music
Music rocks.
Can you adopt me ples
Probably not sorry. I may need more subscribers before I can take on more children. 🙂
How good is the dac
It’s just using the iPhone or iPads internal DAC as far as I can tell.
Speaking of DAC, is it true that the $9 Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter also includes a built in DAC? If yes, that would be very cool and much less expensive compared to this Belkin accessory.
Audio quality check?
Just the same as any other analog 3.5mm dongle.
