They were 17 when they shot the first season. Both turned 18 later in 2004 after the first season aired. I was older than the target audience for the show lol. I was in my early 20’s but I had a son who loved SpongeBob and I found myself NOT changing the channel after SpongeBob was over and Drake and Josh started. Both are genius comedic actors wise beyond their years. My mother would occasionally come over to watch my son and I’d have Drake and Josh on before myself and my ex wife would go out an do whatever we planned that evening, and she would say “they’re doing a Martin and Lewis bit” and sure enough, later on Drake said that’s exactly what he was taking inspiration from.
Been binge watching Drake & Josh, and man this show brings back so much nostalgia especially the growth of Josh Peck, and Miranda Cosgrove throughout all 4 seasons.
