- I've re-recorded this video so that Akiyama does the dance I liked, and thankfully it only took one re-record.

"a man with no formal training to beat me?"
Me with 4 games of karaoke practice: haha yes

Akiyama learns the breaker style
And what's more, Majima actually uses Akiyama's heat action in 0. Breaker style. So your guess is right.
um... Break dance is in the whole different level so I don't think this is Breaker Style
Holy shit!
Thats rad!!!
Hirameita!
Looking at these dance battles once more I can't help but wonder - why wasn't this a 2 player minigame?
That's what I hate about Yakuza, the online mode is completely dead
Because they never give the stuff we want. Looking at you, Yakuza 0
Whay do you mean?
If I were RGG studio I'd just release a collection of all Yakuza minigames with proper multiplayer support. It would absolutely sell. Probably. I'd buy it, at least.
@@lonelyshpee7873 Yakuza: Like a Party
Not sure how I feel about that concept...
2:37 For a brief moment, Akiyama T-Poses for dancing dominance
thats literally a single frame-
@@bobbaseball5182 YEAH LMAO
did you watch the entire video on 0.25x to catch that bruh
I honestly preferred doing both dance battles as Akiyama than any as Haruka. I think the fact that this smooth moneylender decides to forgo his coolness by dancing against a granny is all the more fun and entertaining.
Same reason as why the disco dances as Kiryu and Majima in Zero are so enjoyable.
I mean, where do u think Haruka got her moves from? Clearly Kiryu raised her on karaoke and dancing. And maybe some pocket racing.
@@ma.2089 yeah but with Haruka it fits, with Kiryu, Majima and Akiyama it's just jarring and that's what makes it so entertaining
@@bappojujubes981 I just love how 1) Majima is a goddamn amazing breakdancer yet dances like a dad during the disco mini-games and 2) Them both maintaining their stony facial expressions while they throw down.
Forgoes his coolness? No, my dude, he DOUBLES it!
Preferred dance minigames in 5 than in 0 ngl. LJ did the right move in refining the former.
Ah yes,
The full story behind: “old Lady, you alright?”
Kiryu emberassing himself by become mascot.
Akiyama emberassing himself by dance off with old lady.
Come on Kiryu was more than delighted to be Ono Michio-kun
Akiyama 🤝 Haruka
Beating the strongest old people in dances.
@@AshyGashy ok?
I wish Akiyama had more dance battles in Y5
I just cleared Haruka’s chapter and I couldn’t help but think the same thing (as well as not being able to play with Akiyama more).
Seeing Aki in these dance battles was such a joy and suited him so well.
Akiyama's fighting style indeed has the most beautiful and elegant moves among all other fighters!!
@@galaxy_kitten95 Akiyama was underutilised in Yakuza 5, he only had like 50% of what the other characters and no side story, I know his VA is expensive, but still a shame.
How Am I suppose to explain to my friends about Yakuza games?
It's a serious crime drama.
Only when you look at the main story...
The game as a whole?
The Witcher 3 with more light hearted side quests.
100% pure concentrated Japan.
It is a game that mixes traditional Japan with wacky Japan. With style.

..i see you everywhere at yakuza videos gameplay hehehehe
I love how Akiyama can fight hundreds of guys without breaking a sweat, but dancing gets him winded. XD
And stairs
These animations look more like swimming than dancing lol... they said do the Hustle not do the breaststroke, Mr. A!
Akiyama: Guys, get this. This old lady who I beat in a dance battle kept comparing me to his late husband. I think she has the hots for me despite saying her hubby's hotter.
Kiryu: AKIYAMA, RUN FAR FROM HERE WHILE YOU STILL CAN!
Majima: I AGREE WITH KIRYU-CHAN! LEAVE NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!
Akiyama: Why, what's the hold up.
Kiryu: We have reason to believe that she's related to the Obatarian.
Akiyama: The Oba-what now?
Majima: JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN! KIRYU-CHAN, WE NEED TO DEPORT AKIYAMA LIKE RIGHT NOW!
Why did I actually imagine this exact exchange in New Serena
As of Yakuza 7, she's still out there.
Etsuko still kicking in the Yakuza 7 Karaoke Leaderboards.
@@azizabdul8914 shouldn’t she be like 100+ years old as of now, she was an old woman already in 1988

"How to beat an elderly woman without involving police....
Dance battle"
Keep in mind that Akiyama is the only character in the Yakuza series that is effected by cigarettes, yet he still dances.
i have some horrible news for you
@@disquietellie YOU DON'T HAVE TO TELL ME I KNOW ALREADY ;-;
Sooooo is Etsuko has passed away or not.
If not, let's see if Saejima can handle her Obatarian strength.
Hopefully
Shes still alive as if 2 Kiwami with no visible aging, so she may very well be years later here in 5.
Especially since Kiwami 2 takes place 20 years after 0 while 5 is just a measly few years more
Meanwhile, the Karaoke Daily Chart Top 3 in Yakuza 7
1. SODACHI YASUO (99.850 pts)
2. Etsuko@Sotenbori (99.750 pts)
3. Wada Yuzo (99.650 pts)
@@YPersonifiedVideos no way! She's practically immortal! That's awesome!
@@bappojujubes981 There's also a party chat which talks about her.
We needed more of the tough guys dancing in this game!
I wish this dancing minigame came back, it's a lot of fun.
I was laughing so hard the first time I did this as Akiyama. I was like "No way this is fcking real"
They made a completely diffirent heat action move set for akiyama and we can only see it ONCE.
2:25 my mans hit her with the Jotaro pose xDD
Akiyama got swag
"The way you use your feet, especially. I know pros that can't even do the things ya do."
That sums up about right
With their moves, Yakuza folk sure have destroyed the guys at Step Up
Just another spike seagel 's random day
I wonder how the other's would have danced?
JunkBoi Well at least we get Kiryu’s in 0
Forget haruka akiyama's the real Idol wait for him to team up with majima for dance
An interesting substory for sure!
this is the only thing i want to replay in yakuza 5, akiyama dancing and maybe a bit of the hunting.
This looks significantly easier and more fun than the disco in 0, hopefully we get a pc port sometime in the future so I can try it.
Wellll, would you look at this. The Yakuza remastered collection just launched on pc a couple of days ago, so that's solved!
Also, I can confirm what you said. I like this minigame more than the disco, and although it's easier there are harder opponents that at first look tough but can be defeated with a little getting used to. Anyway, hope you have fun with this huge and amazing game!
@@dechartun6297 Zero disco mode is so easy if you practice. Trust me
good news we got a pc port and I own one
Only in Yakuza can you find such interesting mini games
2:24 that sound effeck look's like familiar
Ive spent 40 + hours on this game and I'm still not at the end
I'm at 80+ hours. Still hostesses, coliseum, shinada's side story to do. I've just defeated Amon tho which felt awesome. That bastard has a bazillion health bars (the 4th one, the one Kiryu faces) but bringing 20 Staminan Spark helped. I still spent like 15 or maybe more...
Other than that, winning Princess League, getting the breakthroughs (Still Shinada and Akiyama left but they're already lvl20 so should be easy), killing the man eating bear, training with Tendo (God of the Mountains), defeating the Devil Killers... Omg, the number of memorable feats goes on and on. My guess is getting the Platinum will drag for like 100h more tho. Unless I decide to forego the Ex Hard difficulty and skip the last trophy... Idk.
My point being, 40 hours is nothing in Y5. I was still in Haruka chapter by the 40h mark I think
I skipped over a lot of the substories (and Saejima's and Shinada's side stories entirely) and still finished out about 108 hours.
Not that I'm complaining, though Early-game Shinada is a slog through and through, but how the hell did they make a Yakuza game _this_ long? And still make it enjoyable?
Y5 is definitely one of the much larger games in the series by far. I mean, you’re playing with FIVE characters alone. However, it all depends as to how you go about with the game in terms of completing sub stories, the “main missions” with each character, mini games, etc.
I’m a little over 81 hours in and at the time of this comment, I’m on the second chapter with Shinada. I completed nearly maxed out all the sub missions with Kiryu, Saejima (with one hunting mission I didn’t do), and Haruka. For Shinada, I don’t think I’ll be doing the same since his storyline doesn’t interest as much, so I may gloss over most of it.
I exceeded over 100+ hours and i’m only halfway done
@@galaxy_kitten95how the hell does it fit on a ps3
this sub story makes me laugh so hard!
Honestly this substory was one of my favourite parts of this game.
Who else hates you couldn't do this with majima or kiryu
The mouth is still messed up.
Something something gritty and serious drama something
Guys I swear, yakuza is a serious crime thriller
Okay....
When will we get Yakuza : Dancing Gangster Night ???
How real men settle their differences

but can he beat haruka in a dance battle?
I think the real question is could haruka beat miracle johnson
Why Akiyama dance move same like me for no reason.....
lmao i remember this
Wait you could dance as Akiyama?
Yes on the side missions (substories)
Should've bring back disco :(
Kronicle. yakuza 5 came out before yakuza 0 (:
why would the 5th mainline game in the series be able to bring back something from the 6th mainline entry
Disco died after 0 so that kinda speaks volumes.
jsh020 In these people's heads, 0 came first because that's what they played first.
Disco is outdated in the games timeline
Such a disappointment going from this game to 6 and 7
Better than haruka
Music??
name of song?
What is the theme name?
Joy to the Dance.
