Your best video yet! I got a lot of answers but of course I have more questions: 1. You said that carriers get 1 experience point for the air strike on the encounter. Is that for participation, or destroying the encounter? 2. Can a declared CAP still participate in an encounter AS CAP? 3. You said that the carrier gets 1 exp in the encounter battle for launching a strike. Is that only for the first strike? 4. Cont. can carriers get the exp for their planes destroying a starred target? Things that were clarified or reinforced: 1. Roll for planes even if the target is destroyed to check for damage. 2.commander gets stress for an encounter air strike like the carrier (outside of asmuth battle). 3. AEW is affected by NM but not any range effects. 4. MD is air defense 5. Pinging means if they are out of range for active sonar then they get no attempts . 6. I need to look at CC rules.
1. You get 1 XP for the strike for participation. 2. Yes. 3. Yes, just for the first strike that turn. 4. Good question... waffling on the answer. Trying to limit Carrier XPs, but that is the normal rule. So yes.
I did make some updates regarding XPs... they are posted on the Facebook site and soon the BGG site. 1. No XPs for performing strikes. Only for destroying Starred ships/subs on the Tactical Display 3. See answer 1 above 4. Yes.
So, I am going to change the Carrier rule for losing 1 Stress for being in the Protected location (i.e. they don't). They get the benefits of being protected, but can perform actions, so no lost Stress. I will clarify that in the updated rules (hopefully coming out next week).
Thanks for posting this Dean. This helped clear up quite a few rules I wasn't certain about.

But just for the carriers in this expansion?
@@gcsaunders58 Yes. Ships get the stress loss.
