I know FA/Hockey doesn't like dropping too much footage but they need to let em drop shit every now and then. Joe Campos, K Rod, Juanito, Piscopo... Shit, all of em need more footy 😅
What a great interview.. it’s cool to see skaters being vulnerable and telling their story. We are all built different and life has unexplained and unexpected twists. I have a brother who struggles mental illness so I feel your journey. Keep on keeping on! You have my support 🙌🏻
I grew up in the same town as John. I’ve always looked up to him and I really appreciate him being open about is mental health. I’m really happy to hear he’s doing well
So easy to forget how hard life is for everybody - sometimes we think a pro skater has it all and it all must be this dream. It's helpful for all of us to be reminded of the inherent challenges in life - the ups and downs. Thanks, Jon - for being open to sharing. Thanks, Thrasher - for tastefully handling the sensitive topic! I love skateboarding, forever!
Skaters growing up seem to be the most down to earth in touch with the world people. Every one of these segments is surreal and its so cool seeing ppl just living their lives and making it work no matter the road blocks.
Man I relate to a lot of this especially the warning signs thing. I skated as a kid and box as a grown man now. Thanks for sharing all this, you're a cool dude
John Fitzgerald was the main reason I got into Hockey and it quickly turned into one of my favorite skateboard companies. Love watching this guy skate 🙌
SO many skaters I know experience quasi- BPD type of illness. Something in the creative surge, the animosity of skating, the love for it. Like Musicians and artists. Mix that with the ominous drinking culture in skating... no good. Much Love John, you always did remind of a boxer!
The Winner of Slap's One In A Million 2010 Edit: Would be nice to see Out There with some of the other guys from OIAM 2010 😁 I know that Mango made Frog & Forrest got on both Zero & Pig
Grew up skating with John and his brother and Robbie with the active crew! We looked up to those guys at Finkbiner in Glendora haha fuckin rad dudes always giving us free boards and stuff. Appreciate you guys big time
John Fitzgerald gives 100%. Look at his knees. They are so deteriorated. He’s probably in so much physical pain every day with this knees. And he just keeps going, The Roy Jones Jr. Shirt was legendary too.
I'm pretty sure they only post "RIPSTERS" ....I mean , maybe they have a unique fashion style and have weird emo music for their part, but I've never seen a part that the skill level was not worth the time
I just looked through the playlist of the rest of the eps and I'm trying to figure out who it is in there you're talking about? I mean they had Kalis, Gino, (I'm guessing you're not an Austyn fan), Fred Gall, Silas... there's lots of heavy hitters there, where's the beef?
Always was a fan since Slap 1 in a million. Glad he’s still here with us.
that header he took... blood and staples... came back to shred and win. gnarly!
I love this series. We need an episode with Jake Johnson.
👆🏽
YESSSSS
One of the top guys i wish there was more footage of
I know FA/Hockey doesn't like dropping too much footage but they need to let em drop shit every now and then. Joe Campos, K Rod, Juanito, Piscopo... Shit, all of em need more footy 😅
@@From96TilDeath I’m sure they all have plenty clips. It wouldn’t be as special if they were just dropping clips and vids left an right

Skateboarding and Boxing both take heart, so cool. I’ve always liked the both but just started boxing training last year, and glad i did.

Wow, very impressive and also very helpful for me right now. Never thought that John Fitzgerald would improve my mental health, but here we are.
Always appreciated John's skating, this made me love it/him. Thanks! Series is not just yet on Epicly Later'd level, but edging ever closer :)
I’m surprised. Me and John have the same skate shop story and similar motivation by exercising. Another Covina local has their shine once again 👊🏽💯
Keep up the hard work, John!
John your journey is inspiring keep skating and stay in high spirits loved this vid
Hardworking at all his crafts and talented in them in as well!

Man, hes actually pretty decent on those speed snd heavy bags. For a dude who got into fight training late in life, hes not too bad
you should give more guys like this a outlet. no hipster bullshit just a cool real cat. unlike alot of skaters you post
Straight to the point, and a good point at that. 👍👍
I'm pretty sure they only post "RIPSTERS" ....I mean , maybe they have a unique fashion style and have weird emo music for their part, but I've never seen a part that the skill level was not worth the time
ah yes...Josh Kalis and Gino, two of the most recent "Out There" features, sure are hipster doofuses, huh? kook
