  • Since I need to take the Skiff for a test ride on the lake. I might as well fish while I'm there. What better thing to do on a quick trip to the lake than throw some jugs out? It has been years since I jug fished for catfish. Jug fishing was a huge part of my life growing up. My Grandfather would take me one day during the week. Then my Dad would take me on the weekends. Summers as a kid were packed with fishing. Even after I got my license I would take the skiff to the lake all the time jug fishing. It will be nice to drift the jugs down the lake again!
If you have not seen my Skiff Rebuild Series. I have been restoring my skiff from the bottom up for the last year or so. It was a huge undertaking and I was so excited to get it on the water. When I finally did it didn’t go so well. The motor ran great, but didn’t have the power to get up on plane. I now have been trying to figure out the issue. This trip is mostly to test it out and pray it works.
It has been a long time since I made a fishing video. I have had way to many things to work on! I have been thinking about doing a jug fishing video since before I started the channel. I am so excited to finally get on the lake and make one! Jug fishing is absolutely my favorite type of freshwater fishing. It is great for kids and everyone in between. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did making it. Thank you for watching. Please like and subscribe!

My outboard kept bogging down halfway through a boating trip and then slowly quit. Come back home, clean the carb, then would be good again. Replaced all the fuel lines around the outboard, come to find out the inner lining of the manual primer bulb was deteriorating and would slowly gunk up the carb. The one think I didn’t replace after 3 trips out. Hahaha good luck on the outboard!

I’ve had them crack and leak everywhere. Never do that though. Good to know. It’s only a year old and has been kept in the dry. Who knows I may replace it to be safe. Thanks for commenting and watching!
